We came across this place after visiting the Jagalchi fish market. It caught our attention as we were looking for a place to try fishcakes.

We tried boiled and fried fishcakes. There’s a large variety to try - I recommend the lobster and octopus. If you prefer healthier light versions, opt for the boiled fishcakes. The boiled fishcakes can be selected from a little side counter just outside the shop (the staff will help prepare it), and the fried ones can be picked using the tray and tongs provided. Payment was made at the cashier inside the shop.

You can opt for takeaway, or eat-in. There are tables and chairs provided for the people who opt to eat in, and a self-service corner to heat up the fried fishcakes, get utensils and napkins, and to discard the trash after. They even provide tongs and scissors to cut the fishcakes into bite sized pieces.

The staff were very helpful and spoke simple English to instruct us on the procedure.

There is a a small museum on the second level (take the stairs). Worth a quick visit. Restrooms are on the second...

It’s by far the fanciest fishcake shop I’ve ever been to. The shop sells so many different types of high-quality fish cakes, which you can pay for first, warm up, and enjoy in the store, or buy from the store and enjoy at home.

The store is spotless, the products are fresh and well organized, and the fishcakes are made only with high-quality fish meat. Upstairs, there is even a small fishcake museum where you can learn about the company’s history and how they make their fishcakes.

It’s not only a fishcake shop but, I would say, a great place to check out while you are visiting the Jagalchi...

Our first fish cake specialty shop visit in Korea and it was a good one 👍🏻

⏰ we arrived rather early in the morning, before 9am, and there wasn’t too much of a crowd

There’s also 2 floors to this outlet which was massive, with the second floor dedicated to a cafe and museum.

💰 very pricey for fish cakes, but it was pretty decent for what it was

They do have some microwaves for you to heat up the food once you have selected them, and an area to sit and dine too.

Definitely recommended for some early...
