This was one of my favorite experiences in Korea so far. Along the spectrum of modern fare (glitzy Michelin or chimek w/ K-pop ) to traditional Korean meals (20 dishes while sitting around table on the floor), this place felt like a place in between—a peek maybe at the halcyon 80’s or 90’s we keep hearing about. Recommended by our hotel, we were a bit skeptical as it was a little out of the way, but lots of locals so felt more authentic. We sat outside, on the first floor, looking out to the bay. Had no idea what we were doing but thankfully, grad student attendants (who spoke great English) stepped in and basically cooked our entire meal for us (note: if you find yourself throwing onions on the grill directly, ask for help). Sure there were some dried out pieces of carrots but who cares?! They get boiled in hotpot. We did get lucky as they were less busy that night and had time to help us—heard that for 5 days straight just before (during mid-autumn festival) place was jam packed and there was no time...

Although the waiter didn’t speak English we didn’t have any issues communicating, and he was super nice and helped us to cook everything. The food is not cheap but the portions are large and definitely worth it! Would really recommend coming here - plus the view...
