This was, without a doubt, one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. Palate is truly exceptional. They have masterfully created a unique and unforgettable culinary journey by combining local Korean fare, so indicative of the region, with a sophisticated fine dining French twist. Every dish was an adventure in flavor.
Our dinner lasted about 2.5 hours, a perfect pace to savor each course and the wonderful atmosphere. The wine pairings were superb and thoughtfully selected, enhancing the meal beautifully – though, as a minor note, the Riesling wasn't quite to our taste as the other selections.
We were celebrating a birthday, and the restaurant kindly provided a nice candle, which was a lovely touch. One of the standout features is the kitchen – it's as open as it gets! It was fascinating to watch the chefs at work, and you could genuinely tell that everyone in the kitchen enjoyed being there and was passionate about their craft. This positive energy definitely translated to the food and the overall ambiance.
If you're looking for a special, innovative, and deeply satisfying dining experience, Palate is an absolute must. We cannot recommend it...

Service: the service could be better as a one star restaurant😬the bread crumbs never got cleaned on the table, from the very beginning to the end of the meal. The dropped napkin never gets replaced😂interaction with customers definitely could be more. Communication should be a part of service? Never got reply from Instagram and email, had to call them for dietary restrictions!
Bread and dessert: just didn’t get it why there’s two types of ice cream and the coffee/tea counts one of the petit four? And! The coffee is horrible! It’s the most bitter espresso/americano(?), really can’t tell which coffee they serviced, I have ever had in my life! Maybe beans are not fresh or they should change the espresso machine. But they insist it’s what is it. Maybe they don’t hire a baker or pastry chef to make some decent dessert😂the sourdough they served was cold…
Overall experience and advice: just come here for the view! Without expectation of the food, you...
Read moreI visited this restaurant today and loved it; I think it deserves more than one star!
The menu built thoughtfully throughout the course of the meal. To add, the wine was perfectly paired to each dish. The waiters spoke English well, explaining each dish clearly.
Despite being a little hard to find, the setting perfectly encapsulated the contemporary setting of the meal.
Better than all other Michelin guide/2star restaurants we’ve tried in South...
