Stopped by the cafe especially to get the hotteok, the Korean pancake. It was recommended by the map to stop by and try some and it was right. The hotteok is a crispy pancake that is filled with brown sugar. It was simple and delicious. We were there in winter so there were a few fires around that blew smoke into the line. The stall beside it had the hot drinks including their special Yeon Jin Tea. I thought it was quite a nice place for a snack while going around the island.

One of the most popular food stops in Nami Island, Sonata Cafe is known for their hotteok! We went here late November, and it was cool. The warm pancakes and a cup of steamy chocolate compliment the weather. We sat by the fireplace to make the experience better. There are better hotteoks in Seoul, but still their version is like a must-eat while in the island.

We were tired and wanted a snack, but boy were we blown away by their 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 (𝟰.𝟱₩). Maybe it was the combi of a sizzling hot pancake with creamy vanilla ice cream, or maybe it was especially chewy, almost mochi-like hotteok - it was just damn good having it.
