Nami Island was an overall decent tourist attraction with both positive and negative aspects. Certain areas were beautifully maintained, offering picturesque views that are worth seeing, but unfortunately, not all parts of the island held the same standard of upkeep.
A charming touch to the island was the numerous statues adorned with traditional attire and flags from different countries, creating a welcoming, multicultural vibe. The inclusion of various languages also added to the sense of inclusiveness. However, some statues didn’t seem very kid-friendly and felt somewhat out of place in terms of their cultural relevance. It left me questioning if they genuinely reflected the folklore or heritage of the countries they represented.
As a Muslim traveler, I was impressed by the Asian Live Halal Food Store. The portions were generous, and the taste was outstanding—one of the best halal meals I had during my entire stay in Korea. Read moreThe Republic of Naminara aka Nami Island is one of the places worth visiting and entering your wishlist when traveling to South Korea. A cool island that has many beautiful and instragamable photo spots. In addition, Nami is also known as the filming location for one of the most famous Korean dramas, Winter Sonata.
It can be reached by ferry with a relatively short and comfortable trip because it is not choppy. You will also be treated to the beauty of the typical South Korean scenery that is irreplaceable.

This made it a bit difficult for me, who came from Indonesia, to adapt, especially since I was carrying toddlers who were crying from the cold. In addition, the hardened snow that has become ice certainly provides a new challenge because the roads become more slippery. Incidentally, quite a lot of people fell this morning, including my wife and me.
But overall, even though the temperature this time is very intimidating, it certainly won't make us stop coming here. Because Naminara still deserves to be considered as one of the mandatory wishlist in South Korea.
So don't forget to come here if you are on vacation to...
