Came across this gem at Hyeopjae Beach , while walking around the neighborhood looking for lunch , we found the place with its lovely smell of food floating in the air and what attracted us most was the beautiful cozy garden environment. The owner was so friendly and attentive to our need .and she speaks English.. Very comfortable setting . The food is just out of this world and the seafood was fresh and appetizing . The price is very reasonable . My crispy crab risotto with egg was so rich in favor and so delicious to finish . The seafood pasta is hot and spicy yet , excellent in taste. A truly first class dinning experience and an hidden treasure from Jeju . Highly recommended to anyone who visits Hyeopjae Beach . The owner showed us how to find the Diving Women station and the view of the absolute stunning Hyeopjae beach . And she gave us plenty of information around the local area ( in English ) which is...
Read moreCute and cozy cafe with a great small outdoor garden with tables. The food is good, but definitely has a bit of localized flavor rather than international authenticity. The flavors are not bad, but just don't expect to to taste completely authentic western flavors. The soft shell crab risotto was good - crispy deep fried soft shell crab with good flavor. The rice itself is not really arborio rice, but rather Korean rice so the texture is going to be different (a bit mushier) but it was creamy, cheesie and satisfying. Just be aware it tastes more like fusion 죽 (porridge). The seafood pasta was reminiscent of chef boy ardee tomato ketchup flavored pasta with a bit more kick/spice. The wine list isn't extensive, but isn't pricey either. Cute, Instagramable and not bad as long as you're not expecting authentic...
Read moreA wonderful, cozy restaurant-cafe near Hyeopjae beach. The owner (Ms Hye Young?) was very friendly, helpful and for our benefit, spoke English.
The interior of the cafe is cute/quaint, there are outdoor seats in the garden. While the restaurant is non vegetarian, she was kind enough to cook specially for us vegetarians an egg fried rice (without onions and garlic) and kimchi fried rice. Our non-vegetarian friends had the shakshouka and spicy seafood pasta. All of the dishes are delicious!! Dishes ranges between 16,800 to 17,800 won when we were there in Feb 2025. Slightly pricey, but to be expected due proximity to tourist attraction.
Highly recommended to stop by here when you are...
