Stunning old building with plenty of character. There is something special about sitting under wooden beams in the cool eaves of this old Han-ok style building, watching sunlight fall on the verdant garden which the cafe surrounds on two sides.

However, this setting is completely incongruous with the music, which is a gritty urban R&B playlist in which every second and fourth word, if you uttered them in public at work, youโ€™d get fired. The music completely ruins the authenticity of the experience of coming here. There is not even any Korean R&B.

If I wanted to listen to modern urban American R&B, Iโ€™d go to any large chain cafe anywhere in the world. If Iโ€™m going to travel several miles to find a great cafe on the side of a volcano in between the Yellow Sea and East China Sea, and it looks like something authentic and utterly unique, I donโ€™t expect to walk in and be served a Big Mac. To be clear I wasnโ€™t served a Big Mac, only the aural equivalent.

With that said, the coffee is nothing special, utterly average for Korea โ€” where the standard is higher than most countries โ€” whereas the tiramisu portion is very large. Itโ€™s a unique cafe but somehow the owners, having presented a beautiful setting which has matured over decades, do not understand the aesthetic disaster theyโ€™ve laid on for their customers. I can only assume this is because the older generation in the family do not know the meaning of the English lyrics. If there was a Korean translation available to them, I doubt they would find...

A wonderful little spot nestled in a convenient location. Close enough to the sea, as well as a variety of interesting shops so well worth stopping by if in the area. The menu has a selection of delicious drinks and food. Lovely atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. To top it off the service is great and very friendly - the staff are caring and do their best to communicate in English if you don't...

A very nice and cosy place to chill. We came here to chill while we had to wait for our checkin time for hotel is ready.

The special menu of the rice cake set was amazing. The โ€œblack sesame latteโ€ was very creamy and nutty. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Free WiFi and cool air con in the cafe. Friendly staff and great service. Lovely...
