1938 Mansion — Restaurant in Jeonju-si

This café nails its retro aesthetic — from the lighting to the tableware, everything feels intentional and cozy. The Maldon Salt Latte is a beautiful concept with a balanced caramel flavor once mixed, though the salty note could be highlighted more (a salt-cocoa rim would do wonders).

Menu-wise, it’s visually clear but conceptually mixed — items like tteokgalbi pasta or assorted sausages feel out of place in a brunch café. A tighter focus would reduce waste and strengthen the brand identity.

French toast here is TO DIE FOR and they serve a hearty American-style breakfast as well. Coffee is good. My one minor complaint is that the staff prefers to serve all dishes at the same time for every order. This resulted in a lukewarm coffee served as the food took quite a while to prepare. We waited quite awhile to receive our food and drinks. That said, I dined here early in the morning at around 9, just as they opened so I might give them the benefit of doubt as they might have also not been entirely prepped for food...

First of all, Jeonju is a super cute city & this place was so charming, is like stepping back in time in a Parisian coffee shop 🥹 the breakfast was delicious, classic eggs, a must try french toast & don’t forget to order Jujube tea.
