Yukhae Bibimbap - KRW 15000, Dolsot Bibimbap - KRW 13000 and Traditional Jeonju Wine [Moju] - KRW 3000
Famous for the Jeonju-style Bibimbap - one of Jeonju’s local specialties. Other than the typical greens, eggs and kimchi, the bibimbap also contains slices of their signature yellow acorn jelly.
The base of both the bibimbaps are exactly the same, with the only difference being the protein. The raw beef tartare in the Yukhae Bibimbap has a subtle beefy sashimi taste while the cooked beef in the Dolsot Bibimbap is tender and tasty.
The Moju is Jeonju’s traditional wine. It is brewed with fermented rice/malt and other herbs. It has a thicker texture and contains hints of oriental spices (used in medicine). Read moreLovely place with yummy traditional korean fare. The place was pretty crowded during lunchtime but the staff was so polite and orderly. Started with a set of banchan (their creamed corn is rly yummy!) and ordered galbitang and bibimbap with cooked beef.
The galbitang was a huge hit with its clear broth, rich in umami and chewy beef bones with spring onions. Whereas the bibimbap had mixed reviews from my family with a very earthy taste to it, due to the mushrooms and plenty of korean veggies and sesame oil. But I loved the bibimbap there. The staff were so attentive, they refilled our water flask when they saw it was low without even the need for us to prompt! The cashier seemed to be the boss of the place, and he was so warm and kind.
Loved the place. Highly recommend. Extrmely...

The meal set came with 2 Jeonju bibimbap (shoutout to them for understanding I did not want beansprouts in my bibimbap), some yellow jelly (mung bean jelly?), bulgogi, yukhoe, a whole lot of banchan (and I mean a lot) and pineapple.
Was there anything I did not like? Nope, I loved everything about it. Well maybe the yellow jelly thing cause it was so hard to eat with both the chopsticks and spoon. It just kept sliding off, so it was quite frustrating, so in the end, a lot of it was left, even though it was delicious.
Definitely recommend this place, though there might be cheaper...
