The signature menu of the master Chef Hou was: Braised Whole Shark’s Fin with Abalone Sauce (상어지느러미 찜) Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (후 불도장) The dishes, exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey or a detour should be compulsory ones for the gourmet when the master Chef worked for the day. Braised Scallops with Oyster Sauce (호유소스 가리비관자): Being with soft and slimy, chewy texture, it is very delectable! Beef Escalope with Mandarin Sauce and mixed Mushroom (만다린소스 한우안심): It is savory! The beef is tender and the sauce and seasoning are well balanced.

This was a hot place for Beijing Kaoya, as they replicated the system in China. They still do great kaoya dish. Other dishes are very nice as well. Hence, other well known Chinese restaurants can also serve fine dishes like this place. It used to be unique years back, but I don't think I can say that anymore. You will not regret. But for that price, there are other places...

리뉴얼 오픈을 하자마자 방문을 했다! 모두 룸으로 운영되고 있어서 이 시기에 가족 외식하기 괜찮았던 것 같다. 베이징덕을 처음 먹어보는거라 어떻게 주문을 하면 좋을까 망설이다가 직원분께 여쭤봤더니 친절하게 알려주셨다. 사진 속어 나온 것처럼 살코기와 오리껍질을 전병에 싸서 야채와 함께 먹는게 가장 베이직한 방법이라고 한다. 아니면 오리껍질을 먹을 수 있도록 준비해주시고, 오리 튀김이나 국물 요리로 만들어주실수도 있다고 하니 참고하면 좋겠다. 사진에는 없지만 청두탕면이라는 음식이 있었는데 어지간한 해물짬뽕? 차돌짬뽕? 저리가라하는 기깔나는 맛이다. 굳이 비유를 하자면 초록 콩깍지가 들어가는 고기로 깊은 맛을 낸 짬뽕이랄까 진짜 맛있었다. 평소 콩에 대한 거부감있던 사람들도 모두 맛있게 먹었으니 진짜 이건 인정이다. 새우쇼마이(?) 이게 음식 이름이 맞는 것 같은데 정확힌 기억안나고 새우딤섬이다. 4개에 18000원이나 해서 ⚆ɞ⚆????하고 시키긴했는데 아아 왜 이렇게 비싼가 납득이 갔다. 진짜 너무 맛있어서 한판 더 시킬까하다가 이름 모를 후식도 맛있어서 잊어버렸다. 킹크랩새우볶음밥은 음... 다른 중식당에 비해 맛있었다. 다만, 개인적으로 가장 베이직하다 생각하는 삼선짜장면은 좀 아쉬웠다. 음 무척 많이? 아무래도 우리나라 중식의 대표 음식이라 해도 과언이 아닌만큼 대중적인 맛이다 보니, 다른 음식들을 먹으면서 올라간 기대치가 있었기 때문일 것이다. 삼삼하니 맛있었지만 차라리 다른 특이한 요리를 먹었더라면 더 만족하지 않았을까 싶다.
