🥖 쥬뗑뷔뜨 – my all-time favorite bakery near Seokchon Station

🍞 As someone who’s very serious about bread, this is hands down my favorite bakery in Seoul.

There’s no dine-in space, just takeout only, but there’s a parking spot right in front, and I’ve never had a problem parking while picking up my bread 🙌

A few years ago, they renovated and expanded the space — now it’s warm, cozy, and so aesthetically pleasing with its red brick walls and beautiful details.

They use Fritz beans for coffee, and you can see the baking kitchen in the back, which gives a nice sense of trust in their clean, open process ✨

I don’t usually like breads overloaded with toppings — and this place gets it. The focus here is on high-quality dough and balance, with simple, thoughtful fillings that highlight the bread’s flavor.

This place is an absolute delight for pastry lovers. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Songpa-gu, Je T’aime But feels like a little slice of Paris in the heart of Seoul. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the warm scent of butter and freshly baked goods, along with charming interior decor that’s perfect for photos.

Their signature pastries — especially the croissants and seasonal fruit tarts — are flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I also loved the subtle balance of sweetness in their cream-filled brioche. The coffee is decent too, making it a great spot to spend a cozy afternoon.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happily recommending their best-sellers. It’s not a huge place, so seating can be limited during peak hours, but the overall experience more than makes up for it.

Whether you’re looking for a quick pastry fix or a quiet café to relax in, Je T’aime But is definitely worth a visit....

프랑스 정통, 전통 바게트를 맛볼 수 있는 곳. 엄선한 프랑스 밀가루만 고집해서 만들기 때문에 진짜 프랑스의 바게뜨 맛이다!

빵을 좋아해 예전 프랑스 밀가루로 집에서 만들어 먹던 그 맛이다.

바게뜨는 생각보다 간이 짭짤해서 살짝 놀랐다. 이제껏 한국에서 먹었던 프랑스 바게뜨에 비해 소금 비율이 높은 곳.

그냥 바게뜨만 먹기에도 심심하지 않을 정도로 좋다. 깜빠뉴는 조금 더 쫄깃하고 촉촉한 부분이 많아 아무래도 바게뜨보단 더 담백하게 느껴진다.

비싸다는 리뷰가 많다. 절대적인 가격만 놓고보면 확실히 그렇지만 품질을 생각하면 예상보다 훨씬 괜찮았다. 다만 바게뜨, 깜빠뉴에 한해서만.

샌드위치류들은 아무래도 점점 가성비는 떨어진다. 치아바타 샌드위치는 양상추가 넉넉히 들어있어 건강한 한끼 식사 하는 기분이 든다.

맛의 밸런스가 하나 다 먹을 때쯤 완성되는 기분. 약간 평양냉면 밸런스와 비슷하다고 느꼈다. 심심하게 느껴지다 갈수록 간이 잘 맞아들어가는 기분. 그래서 일상적으로 또 찾고 싶은 맛이긴 하나.. 가격때문에 재구매 의사는 굳이 안느껴진다.

그냥 비싸서가 아니라 (샌드위치류는) 여기만의 특별한 무언가가 있어서 맛있다고 느껴지는 게 아니었기 때문에.

재료가 다한 맛이라 한 번쯤은 먹어볼만 하다. 일상적으로 먹을거면 빵만사서 직접 커스터마이징 샌드위치 해먹는게 훨씬 좋은 선택.

집에서 요리할 시간이나 경험없는 사람들은 가끔 사먹기 괜찮겠다.

그리고 나머지 앙버터, 크림치즈 호박 필링등 다른 빵들 역시 이곳만의 노하우가 느껴지거나 특별한 고민을 느낄 수 없었다. 그냥 재료만 첨가된 느낌이라 한 번 맛보는 걸로 충분했다.

재료는 아낌없이 들어가 있어서 좋았으나 발란스가 좋은지는 모르겠다. 즉 그냥 일반 하드계 빵으로 최고의 밸런스가 이미 완성되어있어 여기에 뭘 첨가하고 하는 건 외려 균형이 떨어진다.

그러나 여기는 프랑스가 아니라 한국이니까.. 영업을 이어나가기 위해선 이런...
