Located in Songpa District. Seokchon Lake is an artificial lake that was once part of the Han River. Today, it is one of the city’s most beloved recreational spots, directly connected to Lotte World. The lake is beautiful in all four seasons, but it is especially famous in spring when cherry blossoms bloom, making it one of the best cherry blossom destinations in Seoul.
📌 History Originally a branch of the Han River, Seokchon Lake took its current form during urban development in the 1970s and 80s. The lake is divided into East Lake and West Lake, and its surroundings have been developed into walking trails, cycling paths, cafes, and art installations for citizens to enjoy.

Overall, a visit to Seokchon Lake during full bloom is a must-do for anyone visiting Seoul during cherry blossom season. It's a vibrant reminder of nature's beauty and a...
Read moreWe visited the park on a Thursday afternoon in mid-June. The park mainly consists of walking trails, greenery and benches. The park is long and thin, in an "8"-shape surrounding the 2 parts of Seokchon lake.
There were quite a few people walking and sitting around when we visited. The park is convenient and comfortable. The abundant greenery and proximity to the large lakes makes it very breezy and cool, while the many benches allow for comfortable seating.
There are also many paths leading outwards to the general city area, so it is convenient to enter and exit.
I very much enjoyed...
