I tried to personally assess my experience at the CHÁ manager. I found this park described as the "Disney of Korea." And to be considered a Disney, Lotte World is far from it, starting with the unpreparedness of the staff, who don’t speak fluent English. At Disney, there are employees from all over the world to offer the best experience for visitors, and this is what I want to talk about: Lotte World is just a business, it doesn’t think about the experience of those who waste an entire day at the park. And yes, it is a waste of time—I could have gone to any other attraction in Seoul, but when I reserve an entire day, it means I prioritized going to Lotte World. It’s even worse when I left my home country, Brazil, and wasted time in this mess and lack of respect! The lines don’t respect closing times. Fast passes are not offered at the entrance and, worse, they can only be purchased online if you have a Korean number. In other words, this is not a park designed to be a Disney, but rather just any other park that doesn't deserve the attention of foreigners in Seoul. I was really upset because I went to the park to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, who requested the trip to Korea as her birthday gift, and this place ruined the day with the staff’s lack of preparation. For those who don’t know what customer experience is: it was just a workday for them, but for me, as a visitor, it was a waste of time, humiliation, and a lack of empathy. I hope other Brazilians and foreigners don’t waste their time and money on a place that doesn’t care about...

The wait was horrible for those who did not get the magic pass. We did not manage to get the magic pass as it was already sold out so we waited in the snaking queue of the Atlantis Ride which was about 1.5hrs. The wait was kinda worth it maybe? Was there from 11am but only managed 3 rides on the island and 2 rides indoors. Ended the day at 10pm with lunch in between.

Magic passes can be purchased after you enter the adventure world main entrance at B1. For lotte world hotel guest who purchased the slightly more expensive tickets (about 5,000 to 9,000won diff depending on which site u buy from) from the hotel, u can enter via the level 1 hotel lobby, very convenient! I would chose this option so I wouldn't have to walk so far. The magic pass are perfect use. If you get the magic 5, u can activate the advanced queue 5 times. U can even use the passes continuously for the same ride ( except for 3 rides which u can only use once). It's about 54,000w for 5 passes and 70+k for 7 passes. I would get it... especially for Atlantis, French revolution and gyro swing.... you will save 2-3 hours just for these 3 rides together. Rest of the rides are about a 30mins wait.

Pro-tip for non-magic pass travellers : if you have a non-playing friend or parent, get them to queue for Atlantis while u play other rides. You can easily complete 2 other rides and still make it back for Atlantis.

Good luck and have fun!

Extra: Flyventure is...

If you visit Lotte World a month or a little more before Halloween, you get to see performances by people who dress up / wear make up as zombies... You can pay 5000 won ~ to get a face painting (price proportionate to the size). I'd say 10,000 won or above isn't worth the price. If you really want to get face painting, do it at home or just somewhere else. There isn't that many people from 9am utill about 4pm, and hence you get to wait less in a line. Giant Loop is really fun, Gyro drop is scary at first glance but is really fun, Atlantis is pretty crazy as well... but...

I've visited it 3 times so far each 2~4 years apart and have learned that Lotte World recycles contents (such as the horror 3d videos they use... or the shooting games). What I'm saying is, if you've never been there, definitely do try. If you've already tried then do reconsider it. Everland is probably the better place to go in that case. Also, I do not recommend going to Lotte World during winter (unless you love the cold). (My recommendation is to go only during September if you only like spring / just right weather). It's not only super cold during winter in Korea but also some rides placed outside are shut down due to...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I don’t know who designed this hellhole, but they clearly had zero regard for human comfort or common sense. 1 UNBEARABLE HEAT & NO AIRFLOW It doesn’t matter if you’re inside or outside, it’s HOT, STICKY, AND SUFFOCATING. No proper shade, no ventilation, just a miserable sauna disguised as an "amusement" park. You’ll be drenched in sweat before you even reach the first ride. 2. ENDLESS LINES FOR NOTHING – Every single ride has a !!!1.5 to 2-hour wait!!!, and guess what? NONE OF THEM ARE WORTH IT. You’ll stand there, slowly baking in the sun (or stale indoor air), only to get on some mediocre attraction that lasts 30 seconds. 3. CHEAP TICKETS? MORE LIKE A TRAP* – Yeah, the price is low, but that’s because they’re scamming you into suffering. You’re not paying for fun—you’re paying to stand in line for hours while slowly losing the will to live.

As long as you don't expect it to be like an American theme park you will be fine. They shut down the rides for a hour at a time randomly, maintainenace or cleaning i imagine. There are a few big rides outside but the lines are usually 30 minutes to a hour long. Magic Pass is probably worth the 5 quick rides it gives. Parking at the park is 48,000 won but the regular pass gives you 18, 000 off. Must have the QR code and receipt to scan for credit. The parades happy several times a day, really nice if you are interested in that. TGI Fridays is not the American kind, its hut or miss, id recommend the finding something outside this area for real food. Gordon Ramsey has a hamburger restaurant about 3 minutes away. Vatos and dominoes are around, pancakes, everything seemed to be much better outside the park area.

We went for a school event with about 70 people. There is a separate entrance for large groups. Although we went on a random Tuesday (not a holiday), the lines were over an hour (sometimes 2+) for most major rides. I can't imagine being here on the weekend. The food is good, but expensive, although you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks in. Bathrooms are few and far between, often having to walk pretty far to get to the closest one. That being said, the bathrooms were clean and without queues. Overall, with the availability of discount tickets (check your smartphone membership), I felt the entrance fee was a good value for the number of attractions we were able to do.
