FAGP is known for its signature coriander pasta—and as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy coriander, I was pleasantly surprised. The dish was refreshing rather than overly herbal, with the coriander blending beautifully with the cucumber and coconut cream. You can choose to mix in an extra bunch of coriander for a stronger kick.

The brown butter rigatoni, while still flavorful, was slightly overshadowed by the standout coriander spaghetti. That said, I appreciated the nuttiness of the brown butter and the interesting texture from the squid and romaine.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I had originally made a reservation for two people, but due to a change in plans, I tried to call the restaurant the day before (over five times) to update the reservation to one person. No one picked up.

When I arrived alone, I was informed that the deposit for the second guest was non-refundable and takeaway was not allowed. While I could accept the policy, the staff’s attitude was the bigger issue. Phrases like “You should’ve called us yesterday,” “We were open, you didn’t call,” and “Even if you called, it was too late” were said in a dismissive and accusatory tone.

I explained I had indeed tried calling several times, but was essentially told that it didn’t matter. There was no real apology—just a repeated insistence that “There was nothing we could do.”

Service throughout the meal was also lacking. I ordered two pastas, one dessert, and a soda, but was only given one ice cup. When I asked for another, I was told they only provide one per drink.

The food was fine, but the overall customer service and rigid attitude made it an unpleasant experience. For a restaurant that requires deposits and operates on a reservation basis, I expected a much more thoughtful and professional approach.

예약 시스템을 통해 2인 예약을 했고, 하루 전 일행의 일정으로 인해 혼자 방문하게 되어 예약자 전화번호로 여러 차례(총 다섯 번 이상) 전화를 걸었으나 끝내 연결되지 않았습니다. 어쩔 수 없이 혼자 방문하게 되었고, 도착 후 해당 상황을 설명드렸으나 “1인분 예약금은 환불이 안 된다”, “포장은 불가하다”는 안내를 받았습니다. 여기까지는 이해할 수 있었지만, 이후 직원(셰프 겸 직원)의 응대 태도에서 큰 실망을 느꼈습니다.

“그건 그렇게 해드릴게요”, “어제라도 미리 전화 주셨어야죠”, “어제 전화했다고요? 저흰 정상영업했는데요?”, “하여간 어제 전화했어도 늦은 거고요” 등 대화 내내 고압적인 말투와 책임 회피성 응대로 인해 기분이 매우 상했습니다. 전화한 사실을 말씀드렸음에도 불구하고 자꾸 하지 않았다고 단정 짓는 태도는 고객을 불신하는 것으로 느껴졌고, 상황 설명 후에도 진심 어린 사과보다는 “저희도 어쩔 수 없었다는 걸 말씀드리는 거예요”라는 식의 단호한 어투로 마무리되는 응대는 전혀 유연하지 않았습니다.

음식은 무난했으나, 전반적인 서비스 마인드나 태도는 고객 입장에서 다시 찾고 싶지 않게 만드는 수준이었습니다. 또한 파스타 2개, 디저트, 음료를 주문했음에도 불구하고 얼음컵은 음료 수만큼만 제공 가능하다며 1개만 제공되고 일반 컵을 받는 등 사소한 부분에서도 배려가 부족했습니다.

결국 혼자 먹을 계획을 바꿔 일행을 급히 불러 함께 식사했지만, 전반적으로 무척 불쾌한 경험이었고, 그 어떤 사소한 배려도 느껴지지 않았습니다. 예약금을 받고 운영하는 식당이라면 최소한의 응대 태도와 유연성은...
