Genroku Udong — Restaurant in Seoul

At Genroku, I ordered a giant Nikku Udong. The size is enormous and can be shared amongst family. If you enjoy MukBang challenges, this is a must go. The udong and presentation are nothing special. There is a kiosk which makes ordering much easier. The self-service bar has sweet pickles and radishes with traditionally designed side bowls. The employees are extremely understanding and friendly. There is always a line so be prepared to wait and be considerate of others. Despite the number of people, the employees never got angry nor upset. 비가 와서 그런지 날씨도 그렇고 마음이 허전한 느낌에 우동 생각이 났습니다. 최애 우동집은 거리가 멀어 찾아가기가 애매했고 대학로를 검색하니 겐로쿠 우동집이 있더라구요. 3~4년전 대전에서 한번 먹었던 기억이 있어서 찾아가 봤습니다.

일단 사장님 혼자 운영하시는 가게로 주문부터 음식 받고 퇴식까지 셀프로 운영되며 실내에 테이블은 5개~6개정도로 작은 가게였습니다.

1인1주문이면 보통에서 곱배기, 세곱배기까지 양의 추가는 무료라는 점이 좋았습니다. 일단 육수는 좀 강한편입니다. 큐슈지방의 우동이라 컨셉을 잡아서인지 타우동집보다 진하고 후추향이 강한 느낌이었습니다. 가게에서 물을 마시고 나왔는데도 혀에 후추맛이 좀 남더라구요. ^^ 수타면은 아니고 기계면인데 쫄깃한 식감은 살아 있었습니다만 조금 아쉬운감이 있습니다. 유부초밥은 그냥 유부에 흰밥 들어간거라...ㅡㅡ 차라리 영양밥이 더 나을것 같습니다.
