Gogigul — Restaurant in Seoul

Having explored Seoul for a whole week and trying multiple kbbq restaurants, this is by far my favourite one. The seating is very unique, almost similar to a sushi omakase style where the chef is in the middle surrounded by guests. The meat quality here is amazing for the price you are paying, chefs are constantly around and are attentive to your grill. This restaurant uses only charcoal to heat the grills, (not like some restaurants who will use a gas stove in combination with the charcoal) this gives the meat a unique charcoal grilled flavour. In the front, there is a self service side dish station and a self ramen bar, which was a great compliment to the heavy meats we ordered. At the end of the meal service, we were served a skewer of flame torched spicy chicken hearts which were delicious! Then served a amazing creamy vanilla ice cream to finish off the meal. The barbecue place my colleague invited me to for their birthday was fantastic! The cozy ambiance with tables arranged like in omakase restaurants was inviting. It might be a bit snug for a group of guys, but it seems like a perfect spot for a date! The quality of the meat was top-notch, and all we had to do was enjoy it as it was cooked for us. The vegetables and side dishes were also neatly presented and tasty. Despite ordering pork belly instead of beef, the service from the owner, like giving us complimentary items such as ox tripe ice cream, was great! ☺️ Next time, I'll have to bring my girlfriend along.
