Jeonjujip — Restaurant in Seoul

Located near Exit 5 of Dongdaemun Station, Jeonjujip is a classic Korean home-style restaurant known for grilling fish over charcoal briquettes. The set meal includes soybean paste stew and a variety of side dishes.

As soon as you sit down, it’s clear that grilled fish is the go-to dish here, but I recommend trying the spicy grilled whole squid as well. The fish is lightly seasoned and mild, so pairing it with the spicy squid created a nice balance.

This is a surprising find. I didn't have much expectations as the eatery is located in a market and in my previous experience, market stalls are rarely good. Traditional briquette roasted fishes with good price. The whole street in Dongdaemoon market was for this kinds of dishes and it was my first to visit this restaurants. It’s very small place but was fulled (had waitings too). The fishes tastes good with enough meats and the smoked smell was perfect :). But the toilet was terrible… so better find before/after...
