The Cheonggyecheon River is a historic waterway which flows through downtown Seoul. Between 2003 and 2005 it was cleaned, restored to a more natural setting and made part of an urban green space and leisure area for residents and visitors.
You can access Cheonggyecheon River from popular sightseeing areas like Gwanghwamun, Inda-dong, Jongno and Cheonggyecheon. It seems this river stretches around 11 kilometres and includes 22 bridge crossings. There are walking paths on both sides of the river within the area that transects the districts listed above.
