Overrated and slightly disappointed. this restaurant came highly suggested from friends and 5stars hotel. food was not bad but not the best Korean bbq I've had before especially for Seoul so for them to claim it's the world best Korean bbq is totally overrated. we were also annoyed because I felt like we were rushing to finish our meal because they close at 10pm,well really it's supposed to close at 10:30pm. our booking was pushed back to 9pm and we actually arrived early. throughout dinner they were just cooking really fast them quickly sending me the bill after she was done but we were still finishing our shochu and food, it was only 9:30pm .

then when the bill finally came and we settled it , the lady purposely told me service charge wasn't included. I mean I don't mind tipping but when it's worth it and I also knew that Korea doesn't have a tipping culture so found it rather strange when she was asking. andwe didn't leave her a tip because we were annoyed with the way she handled the closing hinting us to leave. when we walked out she didn't even say thank you, leaving yet another bad impression.

foodwise we thought the pork was ok and thethe grade beef was good. however the marinatede galbi didnt look fresh and was just ok...

dining experience overall wasn't horrible but just didn't meet the expectation from all the other reviews. it feels more like a...

A Cozy and Enjoyable Korean BBQ Experience This restaurant offers a cozy and clean dining atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot for an indoor Korean BBQ experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the high-quality beef and pork cuts, which were generously portioned and exceptionally fresh. One of the standout aspects was the attentive service. The staff were not only friendly but also highly professional in handling the BBQ grill. They cooked the meat right at our table with great care, ensuring each piece was grilled to perfection — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly tender. The only downside during our visit was the presence of a few mosquitoes, which may be due to the season or nearby surroundings. It didn't significantly affect our experience, but it’s something the management might want to address, perhaps with better insect control or improved sealing of entryways. Overall, it's a great spot for anyone craving authentic Korean BBQ with excellent service and a relaxed ambiance. Would...

We ordered the popular set option which came with 3 types of meat - Sirloin Steak, Marinated sliced beef rib and Jeju Black pork belly for 69,000 Won. The steak was first up. Frankly I thought the meat was decent but might have been slightly overcooked by the waiter. And I felt that the beef sirloin could have been more thinly sliced so that it won’t be hard to chew. The second marinated beef slice is what saved this place. It was tender, it was delicious, it was well marinated. Nothing to complain about and I was stun by the flavour. So good. The last dish might have been corrupted by my experience in Jeju with their black pork. But the black pork here was slightly tougher and less tasty. Overall: 3/5. I recommend this place for the marinated beef slice. For the others, you could give it a try. Would return if I’m in the area. But not worth the walk from the Subway area which is a...

Maple Tree House, 단풍나무집, one of the better Korean BBQ in town serving quality beef and pork. A barbeque restaurant where you can enjoy grilled meat over charcoal fire in a comfortable atmosphere. Menu offers pork hangjeongsal (pork collar), very tasty and juicy grilled over perfectly fired charcoals and wrapped with lettuce or pickled perilla leaves to complete the dish. Premium Boneless Short Ribs very well marinated is a must have, tender and juicy every bite. Can’t get enough of it. Kimchi stew is delicious as well. The waitress grilled the meats, cut it up with scissor and served it piping hot to your plate. Maple Tree House is a premium Korean barbeque restaurant chain operating in Korea since 2005. Serving premium beef cuts that are aged perfectly to bolster flavor and further tenderize for grilling. Friendly comfortable dining setting to enjoy the very best Korean barbeque has to offer.

This is a must-visit BBQ restaurant whenever I travel to Korea. We always make sure to go to Samcheong-dong Danpungnamu House, even if it means taking a taxi just to get there. The marbling of the Korean beef literally melts in your mouth. I’ve visited four times so far, and the quality of the meat has always been outstanding. However, during my last visit, I was a bit disappointed with the service. Six years ago when I first came, the older ladies working there were so kind and attentive, which was one of the reasons I wanted to return. But this time, the servers were foreigners who spoke Korean, and unfortunately, they weren’t friendly at all. We only ordered some meat without drinks since we planned to move on to another restaurant afterward, and I can’t help but wonder if that was the reason for the cold attitude. Still, the beef itself is top-notch and worth the trip.
