Namsan Sool Club — Restaurant in Seoul

If you come to Korea, you really gotta try Korean liquor, right? —and this is the spot! Even Koreans come to NamsanSoolClub for good craft soju, cheongju, makgeollli. Why? Because the owner knows Korean liquor better than most Koreans I’ve ever met. I’m Korean myself, but honestly, I’ve never seen anyone love and describe it as passionately as Dustin. Just tell him what you like, and he’ll get you the perfect drink. I just trust his choice.

The vibe here is awesome too—it feels like you’re at a single malt or cocktail bar, even though it’s all Korean drinks. Plus, his menu has bottles from small breweries that you usually can’t find anywhere, even in Korea. So it’s a great chance to explore really unique and high-quality korean drinks.

I’ve brought foreign friends here before, and they all loved it, 100%. The place small&cozy, which actually makes it easy to meet new people and enjoy the atmosphere. And don’t miss the Korean-style side dishes—they go perfectly with the drinks....

Dustin and team at Namsan Sool Club have transformed Soju and Makgeolli, ordinarily drunk in sheer volume, into a refined and novel experience. Much like how micro-breweries and craft cocktails have had a resurgence in the US in the last 10-15 years, Namsan Sool Club is innovating the Korean craft cocktail space. Dustin's background in fine dining and as a sommelier, coupled with his and his staff's down to earth personalities and approachability, make for a phenomenal evening experience. Whether your primary language is Korean or English, the Namsan Sool Club will impress you with the depths of it's offerings and its distillation/fermentation processes. Visit sooner rather than later, as there's no telling when, not if, this bar and the Korean craft liquor and cocktail scene will blow up...

Small, focused and excellent place to try a broad range of quality Korean alcohol. Great for an introduction to quality Korean booze and worth waiting for if already full.
