It feels like stepping into a scene from a late-night drama when you visit Saebyeokjip in Cheongdam. Open 24 hours, this place is a true lifesaver whether you come for a hearty lunch or after a long night out. At lunchtime, the Galbitang (beef short rib soup) and Yukhoe Bibimbap (beef tartare rice bowl) are outstanding, rich in flavor and deeply satisfying. Late at night, it turns into the perfect spot to enjoy premium Korean beef with drinks and friends.
We ordered Anchangsal (outside skirt) and Galbisal (short rib meat) and both were exceptional – juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The beef quality is absolutely top-tier, and yes, the price is on the high end, but you can taste why. One tip: there are also off-menu cuts available, so don’t hesitate to ask the staff when you order.
Compared to other BBQ restaurants, the meat here doesn’t feel greasy or heavy, leaving only a clean aftertaste that makes you want to come back. If you’re looking for the best Korean beef experience in Seoul, Saebyeokjip is the kind of place you can always trust – anytime,...

Open 24 hours, 365 days a year – That is why I believe the name of restaurant is a dawn house. The restaurant has very long history since 1994 and specializes in Korean Beef Barbecue. It was introduced from the famous TV program, Wednesday Food Talk (Suyomisikhoe)
The signature menu is Ribeye (꽃등심 48K): The quality of beef is good with wonderful marbling and it is delectable. Beef Tartare (육회, 19K): This time I try Beef Sashmi which is very savory with the special spicy dipping sauce. Even though I have not tried Beef Tartare mixed with rice and vegetables, many people say that it is its signature dish. Haejangguk – Korean traditional spicy soup to relieve a hangover – is provided free of charge and it has deep and rich tastes.
There are spacious tables in the hall and also many rooms for private dining. Valet parking...
Read moreArguably my favorite restaurant in South Korea. I've been visiting this place 1-2x a year every year for the last 7 years. Serving up some of the best korean beef alongside with the soup of the gods, the hang over soup. What sets their soup apart from regular run of the mill places is the generous chunks of liver.
Unfortately things seemed to have changed a bit since 2022, now BBQ meals require quite a bit so it makes it harder as a single diner.
That said, the rest of the food is still great. One of the few places in the world that I'll go out of my way for some steak tartare. If you're a lone diner and hankering for something tasty, definitely try the tartare bimibap.
Service has changed a bit, the older korean ladies seem to be meaner than the used to be. less welcoming to. But I'll still return, the food is too good and...
