Seomjip — Restaurant in Seoul

Amazing Korean seafood dishes.

Came here on my first night back to Korea. The place was quite small, and it was packed with locals coming for drinks after work. Despite making a reservation in advance, we had to wait for 20minutes to get seated.

We got their signature wada-bibimbap, marinated soy crab, meat pancakes, and the grilled eel. While the marinated soy crab was just okay, other dishes were superb. The meat pancakes were extremely tender and the bibimbap was bursting with flavors from sea cucumbers. The combination of grilled fresh water eel with perilla leaf, sliced ginger, and salted fish was also fantastic. Towards the end of the meal, complimentary seaweed soup and the kimchi with salted oysters were served, and both were really good.

명불허전 유명한 가게. 용산 한복판에 건물 하나를 통째로 식당으로 사용 중인 꽃게탕 유명 맛집.

주차칸은 해당 건물에 5개+@ 정도로 겨우겨우 주차 가능한 좁은 구조. 출입로가 좁고 차 돌리기 어려운 공간이라 엉덩이로 들어가는게 더 편함.

예약손님은 3층으로 바로 안내.

그 외에는 자리 여부에 따라서 안내 받게 되는데 보통 2층에서 식사하는 분위기. 밥 때는 4층도 붐비고 복잡하다.

기본적으로 꽃게탕이 메인 메뉴이며 육전이나 반찬을 곁들여먹게 된다.

게장은 단가 자체가 꽤 나가는 편인데다 양이 적어 조금은 아쉬운 고급 메뉴. 물론 살도 차있고 알도 맛나지만 게장은 꽤나 달게 느껴져서 부담이 있었다. 많이 달다.

꽃게탕은 꽤 실하고 꽃게 살도 가득한게 먹기 좋게 반씩 잘려있고 그리 약하지도 드세지도 않은 크기의 게가 들어있어 먹기에도 편리함.

육전은 좀 얇아서 씹는 맛은 덜하고 조금 질긴 느낌. 막걸리에 그냥 빨리 나오는 요리로 에피타이저 처럼 가볍게 먹기 좋았음

와다비빔밥(게장 내장)은 계란 하나 얹어져서 나오는데 게장은 사실 정말 조금 들어서 맛을 느끼기엔 아쉬운 수준. 가성비 낮고 그닥 비추천 메뉴.

예약 없이는 자리가 없는 경우도 간혹 있으며 오다니며 들르기엔 정말 좋은 곳.
