Average at best.
I don't see why I need to pay £100 just to eat at a buffet. There are 3 types of dishes, Korea dishes, Chinese dishes, little bit of Japanese and European dishes.
The food were good, average in taste, as many of them were not a wow factor or delicious, I would say only 1 or 2 items gave me a "good" taste feeling.
I would say the reason why it is expensive is because you are paying for the decorations and servers/staffs. When we started eating, the staffs would come and take your empty plates or dirty plates away. This was good, but I noticed after 3pm, the consistency in dirty plate clearing was reduced.
Afterward of eating from this restaurant, I just felt so thirsty all of a sudden. I believe there was a lot of salt used in their dishes, which is not good.
The best dish I would say was one of Chinese fried prawn, baby back rib, banana cheese cake and the waffles. You can grab a refillable drink, also have coffee and even macaroons. You get a complimentary alcoholic drink. I was annoyed at this because there were 3 of us at the table, the staff poured us a drink in our glass, however my drink was very little compared to my guest, and it is not a good compliment. If this is a 5 star buffet from a hotel, they should know better at serving.
I would not recommend this place, not even to try a "fancy" buffet restaurant as I found nothing extravagant, luxurious or 5 star about this place. It is kind of like going to a standard Chinese restaurant in Las Vegas with expensive restaurants surrounding it. Because of the location, that standard Chinese restaurant would have to charge a lot because of the area.
Save your money, take your guest elsewhere, the buffet I got where standard food I can taste from other restaurants. If they want more stars, they need to give different types of dishes. The egg benedict was a good choice, however taste was not good. The sliced duck had a smell when eating.
I am sorry but it is not worth £100, you are just paying £100+ just to eat with wealthy rich people, or to surround...
Read moreI recently visited The Parkview to sample its highly rated buffet, which I discovered through an online search. The hotel’s décor made an impressive first impression; however, I was surprised to find a long queue for the buffet—even for guests with reservations. Although the line moved quickly, it wound through the lounge, and I commented to my husband that this is disruptive for hotel guests’ experience. If I was a hotel guest, I would not be very happy.
After we were seated, a server arrived and asked which guest was vegan (information I had provided on the reservation form). He then inquired whether the vegan diner could eat raw fish, suggesting the team was unfamiliar with a vegan diet. I explained that he avoids all animal products—fish, meat, eggs, and dairy—and that my husband would explore the buffet to see what options were available.
Unfortunately, only two items were suitable: a simple green salad and rice noodles in a non-beef broth. Even the vegetable and tofu dishes contained pork, beef, or fish, as indicated on their ingredient cards. As a result, my husband reluctantly chose mashed potatoes with truffle (which contained milk) and a few desserts, yet was still charged the full buffet price of approximately ₩200,000.
When staff later asked for feedback, I expressed my disappointment. I had clearly noted the vegan requirement during booking and would have appreciated advance notice that suitable options were limited; I could then have modified or cancelled the reservation. This oversight felt especially surprising for a five-star hotel that prides itself on a premium buffet.
For non-vegan diners, the selection of fish, meat, pasta, sushi, and desserts was extensive and well presented. However, the overall atmosphere was loud and hectic, with many guests rushing to the buffet line.
In summary, while The Parkview offers an impressive variety for most guests, it currently falls short in accommodating vegan/vegetarian diners and maintaining a calm dining...
Read moreOh man! Where should I start? I have to say that this is our all-time favorite buffet restaurant to dine at in Seoul. It's second to none all around! Food is fresh and tasty. Service is excellent. Ambience is great. And, it's very clean. However, I do have to mention one minor thing. During our most recent visit here, I was slightly turned off by their grilled eel sushi because it was a little off in terms of its taste and texture. But, I liked everything else in the assorted sushi, so I simply asked the worker to leave it out when I went back for a second serving. No biggie! Honestly, the rest of the food was scrumptious!
Speaking of their service, I just can't seem to forget what one server did for my sister. This is rare to see at a buffet restaurant since everything is self-service. But this one server was kind enough to help my sister carry her full plate to our table because she was waiting for her pho to be prepared. And, he thought she needed a hand. What a nice gesture!
I do wish this place was more affordable for dinner. The price for an adult is a whopping ₩110k plus VAT. So, a family outing will cost you an arm and a leg!
Overall, it's a food paradise for anyone who wants to treat themselves to delicious food and maybe treat others to a fine dining experience. Highly...
