남소관 우육도삭면 — Restaurant in Seoul

Beware! Avoid if foreigner. Completely foreigner unfriendly. Not to mention very subpar and non authentic flavors (being Chinese I can confirm). Service throughout was very hurried and abrupt. There was a menu and a correlating order sheet where you were meant to check off items. The entire order sheet correlated to the menu photos (e.g., first item on both is beef noodles). We don’t read Korean, so I verified the first couple items and then followed that pattern and made sure prices matched. For one item I ordered the second to last menu item and checked off the second to last order sheet item, thinking it was chili beef. To my surprise, they brought out an unrecognizable dish. When I asked, they said there was an additional item on the order sheet not listed in the menu. And of course it’s pig intestines and organs. We explained our confusion and without apology their response was just that that’s what we ordered so nothing could be done. And we had to kee it whether or not we ate it. Between the poor service, below average food, and potential to accidentally order pig guts, would categorically avoid.

As an additional note, I’d been here previously about a year ago. And really enjoyed it then. Ordered some of the same dishes and they were like completely different dishes. Flavor, meat, composition. I can only assume there was a change...

This is place is well-known for its Dao Xiao Mian (knife-cut noodles), but their dim sum was surprisingly amazing! From the chewy noodles that tasted just like in Taiwan to the juicy Xiaolongbao and the plump shrimp in the crystal dumplings, all the dishes we ordered were fantastic. I went with my family and everything's so bland. I waited 40 mins for dimsum only for the server to tell me I had to wait another 30 mins.
