Imagine stepping into a space where clean, calming design meets comfort food that hugs you from the inside. The white-washed walls and warm brown furnitures offer a quiet backdrop that lets the sizzling claypot meals shine. Their signature sotbap—rice cooked in a hot pot with toppings like steak, abalone, or eel—is slowly stirred, then finished with broth to coax out the addictive, crispy bottom rice (nurungji) . Each bite balances textures—tender protein, aromatic rice, and that golden crust—and the ritual of transforming the pot into soup feels both nostalgic and mindful. Despite its popularity, the vibe stays cozy, like a thoughtfully designed Korean home turned café . A design-forward spot where every detail, from layout to ladle, serves an emotional experience as rich as...

Saw a lot of buzz about Solsot (솔솥 성수점) on Instagram and TikTok, so we decided to check it out for lunch—and it didn’t disappoint!

There was quite a long queue, but thankfully we could join the waitlist using the CatchTable app. We waited around 30–45 minutes, which was reasonable given the popularity.

We tried the steak hotpot rice and the sea bream hotpot rice (₩17,000 each). Both dishes were flavorful, hearty, and well-balanced. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the hotpot rice had that perfect crisp layer at the bottom. Definitely worth the price.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, even giving us guidance on the best way to enjoy the food. Overall, a great experience and worth the hype!

After payment they also give us two...

I arrived early to get a number and waited about 90 minutes until the page showed that there was just one person ahead of me. The status soon changed to “enter now” shortly after I returned to the shop. A large group of staff came back from their smoke break and, when we asked if we could enter, they dismissed us and told us to stand aside and wait. After about 15 minutes, they started calling reservation numbers of people behind us. I went to check, and they completely skipped our number. They claimed they called it and I wasn’t there, which is absolutely untrue. I tried to explain, but they refused to listen and insisted I had missed it. Very disappointing...

We arrived 15 minutes early and were the first in line before the store opened for lunch. However, when it was time to enter, we were told to scan a QR code to join the digital queue — and the order of arrival wasn’t taken into account. It would have been better if the staff acknowledged those who had physically queued earlier. That aside, the food was tasty and comforting. We tried the abalone, beef, and cheese chicken hot pot rice — all flavorful, with a nice charred base. Soup was to be added into the charred rice in the pot for a different flavour. But we found the soup too blend. This is a chain restaurant, so it's easy to find around the city.
