RUDE CHEF | Food was great. The wine that my friends picked was good. We ordered ala carte so I can’t say much about their wine pairing but all the food we tried was decent. I rate this place 3 stars because of the chef. My friends asked if they could add 2 more people to the table and they said yes. They accommodated the request which is how my husband and I were able to join them for dinner. But throughout that night the chef seemed irate about this. Passively giving our table cold shoulder when my friend was trying to have a conversation. Saying “I can’t really listen because I am busy right now. Later I will talk to you” without making eye contact and with a straight face. What happened to the service? The staff was kind and although we can sense that they’re in some kind of panic because of the extra 2 people they had to serve that night, it was still an ok experience. Basically the chef was flustered because of us (the 2 unexpected guests) and definitely showed us his frustration. Why accommodate the request and then be rude? It was just embarrassing and made the experience uncomfortable. When we left, he ran up to us saying thanks and we were just turned off by that encounter because at that point we knew he probably felt how rude he may have come across. I do not recommend. Restaurant seem subpar when dealing with...

It's not just food which is excellent but a journey for all the senses and above all a really great time. Main seating is around the bar and you interact with the chefs and sommelier. Jin Ho the Sommelier & co-owner just thrives in his craft and even if you don't know much about wines delights in helping choose wines to suit your tastes and the food. Seong-bin the other owner is the Chef and runs the kitchen and wow the food is good! The chef's always come out to explain the dishes they are about to serve.
The menu is well balanced between meat, sea food and vegetables and of course dessert. We had the degaustation menu and it was well worth it and excellent value. A La Carte is also available. How do you describe the menu? As Jin-Ho says "It's Korean fine dining with a modern twist".
Highlights: the scallops, the pumpkin, the Jack Mackeral, the tile fish and the duck. Ooh the Onion ice cream should not work but it's absolutely delicious!
I would not be surprised if a Michelin Star or two is not coming soon.
Highly recommended if you are after a fine dining experience and a great...
Read moreIt didn’t take long to understand why this place has such a high rating. It’s a beautiful venue and I really love the welcome chorus as you walk in ☺️ The wine list is huge and there’s an incredible number of non-alcoholic options. The owner who was hosting everyone that night is absolutely wonderful. So welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable. And it was a delight to watch the kitchen operating directly in front of me, and to watch the synchronised serving and clearing of plates around me. The flavour combinations of the menu were incredible! Oyster and champagne ice cream, soy sauce ice cream and creme brûlée - absolutely amazing. Perfect number of servings and portion sizes. I envy the people who live in the neighbourhood and can just pop down for a late night luxury feed. I hope to return when I am back in Seoul in...
