ILCHI ART HALL is tucked away on the second basement floor of the King Kong building. Outside, you cannot miss the awkward King Kong statue hanging off the building. The box office is just near the main entrance.
To be honest, I had a hard time finding the entrance myself. It is surprisingly small, so I even took a picture to help others recognize it more easily.
The hall has about 220 seats, which makes it a fairly intimate venue. I think it works well for small events. I personally enjoyed Utagokoro Rie’s concert there on February 22, 2025.
About the seating, each section is marked by letters A, B, C, D, E and so on. Each lettered section actually has two rows, divided by yellow steel bars. The catch is that both rows in the same letter share the same elevation. This means you should always try to book the front row of that pair for a clear view.
For example, seats D-07 and D-27 are at the same height. If you sit at D-07, you will enjoy the performance without obstruction. But if you end up in D-27, you will be staring at the back of someone’s head the whole time. In that case, even E-07 is a much better choice....
