Le Chamber — Local services in Seoul

We entered at 7pm on a weekday and were the first group of customers. The waiter kindly asked whether we wanted a bar counter or a booth, and we chose a double seat. This is where the incident began.

Shortly after we sat down, a local couple entered the bar and were guided by the waiter to sit in the booth next to us. Unfortunately, the sofas in this bar were designed to be very low, and the man sitting next to us had very bad athlete's foot, and the smell wafted through his Gucci Mickey sneakers. I believe the Korean lady sitting opposite him also noticed it.

My problem is that the environment is very spacious and there are not many guests. The guided seating should retain some privacy, perhaps with an empty table between them.

After all, the low chairs cannot be replaced immediately, and I think out of politeness, I cannot say "about the man at the next table having very smelly feet". It is too embarrassing to say, and my upbringing does not allow me to say this in a public place.

But the bad smell has really affected me, and I believe you don’t want to experience it. For this reason, I even ordered a cocktail called General MacArthur, just because the drink came with a burning cinnamon stick. I hoped that the aroma of cinnamon would improve the bad smell in the air, but unfortunately this failed.

For a bar that is famous overseas, this experience is not very good. The drinks tasted good, but from what I could see they seemed to prioritize serving people at the bar. We sat in a double seat, and it took about half an hour from the time we sat down to the time we received our drinks, while the customers who came in later than us and sat at the bar were...

I love a spot that has it all ~ LE CHAMBER in Cheongdam-dong is it! 🥃🍸🍹🍾🥂🧊 This Speakeasy whiskey bar / lounge is ranked among Asia's 50 Best Bars and was dreamt up by 2 champion bartenders (Mixologists). . . The whole Team at Le Chamber are highly skilled/ talented & give superb service. I fully recommend ordering the Omakase course and be ready to taste amazing libations. They have an incredible whiskey selection here for my whiskey lovers. In addition you get to listen to a Live pianist play throughout the evening which I love soo much. . . This spot is great for all kinds of occasion's due to the sensually classy atmosphere, amazing drinks and great service in a sophisticated setting. I do recommend you make a reservation from Thursday - Saturday evenings especially if you are a party larger than 2. There is a $10 cover to come here and it is added to your bill. . . Being in the F&B Industry myself from NYC, I confidently say finally coming here was the best choice and definitely is probably my #1 recommended spot in all of Seoul. Absolutely blown away by Le Chamber—it’s easy to see why they’re listed among the 50 Best Bars! We stumbled upon this gem after a recommendation from Mingles (another must-visit!), and it made for the perfect post-dinner spot. Every cocktail felt carefully crafted with a great balance of flavors, and we loved the range they offered. From refreshing blends to cocktails infused with traditional Korean ingredients, we got to explore a wide variety of flavors. They also have an impressive list of high-quality spirits, which my friends particularly appreciated—something for everyone!!

A huge thank you to Pedro and Johan for their outstanding hospitality. They went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, making us feel right at home. It may sound like we’re a bit over the top, but we loved Le Chamber so much, we visited twice during our 6-day trip to Seoul.
