Outback Steakhouse in Ulsan feels like one of those old warhorses still trotting along while the parade has long since moved on. It’s the kind of place that once represented a slice of Western dining glam in Korea—a time when steak on a hot plate and creamy pasta was enough to impress. Now, it's clinging to relevance in a city that’s swapped out family steakhouses for hip cafés and high-concept eateries faster than you can say “Bloomin’ Onion.”
But here’s the thing—it’s not bad. In fact, it’s surprisingly okay.
The food? Decent. Comforting in that "I-know-what-I’m-getting" kind of way. The steaks are cooked well enough, the pasta is heavy in the way you'd expect, and everything arrives in generous, belly-filling portions. You won't leave hungry—and you definitely shouldn't at those prices.
Is it affordable? Not really. It’s a commitment, like an edible trip down memory lane that you pay for with your credit card and a bit of quiet self-awareness. You go here when you're not counting coins, but craving quantity and predictability.
Outback in Ulsan isn’t redefining anything. It’s not supposed to. It’s a throwback, a time capsule of a different culinary Korea. A little tired, a little overpriced—but still standing. And in its own way, that’s...

We were charged 200$ for a small stake that would cost 30$ in U.S. The services were extremely unfriendly as well. They use these automated robots that are not programmed correctly and the staff members were always late on our call.
The parking lot is another typical korean style nightmare. You have to get through a jungle of sidewalk parked vehicles, and you have to park your car in B1. Remeber, this parking lot is shared by 50 other restaurants that are nearby as well and you might have to circulate in B1 for 50 times to finally get a spot to actually park.
It was the worst nightmare i have ever had in this korean trip. i am extremely discontent, mad and angry at this place and will not recommend this place to anyome ever, especially if you are a foreigner who used to have real stake back in your home country without being charged at this complete...
