Ate here yesterday: fish and sides were delicious. Ice cold soju, Charm Fresh. The fish tanks are as seen in the photos posted by others; yes, they do NOT hawk at you (which makes no difference to us). The choices of fish and sea creatures is the same as in Busan or in Pohang or other markets in seaside towns. The preparations and dining are upstairs in separate smallish dining rooms (the fish vendor links you to the dining room they partner with by number (1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or so on). The presentations are like other fish markets I mentioned; the tastes are about the same. The spicy fish stew here was good: the fish seller left a little more meat on the bones so that the stew actually had some fish in it (usually it almost all just bones). The side dishes and prep charged 5,000KRW per person on 25 FEB 2024. Spicy fish stew was 10,000; Soju was 5,000 per bottle; Rice is 1,000 per person. These things are increasing in cost at all the fish markets since COVID diminished. The upstairs dining rooms are quiet, almost boring, compared to the tables on the market floor level at Pohang and Tongyeong fish markets, but they are nicer for family dinners and conversation without shouting. I think at these fish markets people need to understand that the old prices are not coming back: my companions kept saying it was expensive. If you go for fresh sashimi or Korean beef in good restaurants then you should just understand that its expensive and disregard worrying your brain over the price: its the experience that we go for. Otherwise, just go get jiegae and bap and some local shop and take pleasure in having kept your money in...

1 palm size fresh abalone, 0.5 kg fresh scallops and 1 whole fish cost KRW28,000 for 2 pax . We had it by sashimi, boiled and spicy soup. Cooking fee was KRW5,000 per pax and spicy soup KRW10,000
Will definitely come back again when I next...
Read moreWe went there cause we saw online there was a possibility to eat in the market. It is true!!!! You choose the fish and the seafood you want downstairs and you bring it up to be cooked. Wow the sashimi and no words about the huge clams. They don’t waste anything, they made us a soup with the bones of the fish! We had a wonderful woman that spoke english there to help us! but everyone is very nice, they won’t have a problem with the translator. DEFINITELY a must try...
