The best place I ate at in Úbeda, absolute must-visit, and must return, to try everything else. Not a single miss, over the 3 days I came to dine here. The kitchen is pretty much on point, the ingredients are top notch, and the server staff are super friendly and fun to chat with, whenever they’re not busy running around. This place gets very busy, it’s unlikely you’ll get sat at a table outside without a reservation, however tables inside are just as nice in my opinion and I had a great time at both.
I especially enjoyed the Secreto Ibérico de bellota, the tasting of three different Olive Oils, the Mollejas (sweetbreads) con Pesto, both were absolutely perfectly cooked, their red wine by the glass is excellent, and they pour a bit to try to make sure it’s what I wanted, and the Micro Gin & Tonic in the dessert is flavored with essential oil that is perfectly balanced and is made right in front of you. Those were the standouts for me, though I tried a lot more dishes that were absolutely excellent as well. For every glass I ordered, I got a free tapa, tried 5 different tapas that ranged from simple to very fun and creative.
I also enjoyed their Morcilla, Tuna Tataki, Ravioli with Rabo de Toro, Eggs barely poached with fried potato sticks, Mushrooms and truffle, and Anise shot as a digestivo. I recommend you try everything, and the dishes I didn’t get to order. Big thank you to the server staff, whose company I really enjoyed, they all greeted me like a friend the first day I returned, and the kitchen for doing such a great job.
There’s a reason so many others recommended it to me. The quality speaks for itself. Absolutely pay this place a visit if it’s the only restaurant you go to in...
Read moreWe had an great experience- excellent food, well prepared and I could feel the quality of the ingredients, but on our vacation we’ve found that that’s almost a given with any restaurant at this level in Andalusia. What made this the best restaurant experience of our trip was the personal service. We chose the olive oil tasting and were presented with three excellent oils from different types of olives- Arbequina, Royal, and Picual. Each had different flavors and gave different ‘spicy’ sensations in the throat- and we were told a bit about each and where and when they were harvested. Highly recommended- it was very memorable. We finished our meal with their “micro” G&T, and again received a learning experience with the order. Try to go when it’s not too busy- the experience was very special and was one of the highlights of...
