Our group of 15 visited this beautiful old building to learn about olives. What a fabulous learning and participation experience. We were explained the many aspects of the olive industry from growing and harvesting to tasting and grading in a very clear and concise yet easily understood way. Charming little shop with an attached museum display and workshops about olive oil. 3Euros for a self tour around the museum, with videos in Spanish and English about the olive oil industry in the Jaen area. The highlight of our trip to Ubeda! A wonderful resource run on behalf of local producers. Fantastic staff and excellent displays, all with QR codes to translate. We learned so much about the olive oil production that dominates the landscape and economy in this area, and about the oil itself, had a free tasting and purchased several varietals of EVOO from the comprehensive selection.
