Never been treated this badly in an establishment in my life.
Atmosphere:
This place was in a cool courtyard with lots of cats and had a church bell toll every 30 min. Super cute.
Food:
The menu said there was "wood oven fired pizza". We recieved our food it was not good pizza. There was no sign at all the pizza was oven fired, the crust was not cut properly and just kinda fell apart. There was no gluten development at all, not like typical artisan thin crust that can still be handled. The anchovies were put on after the cooking, looked like right out of the can. So it was terrible.
I was willing to look past that terrible food because it's a cute spot and I'm not a snob.
Service:
So then the table flips because the tables are out on cobble stones and very unstable and my partner's drink fully spills. Like I'm not kidding it spilled before he could have one sip almost immediately after the server put it down. They brought a replacement and then ended up charging us for both glasses. I have never been treated so badly in an establishment before. I was calm and polite when reminding them about the table issue and that my partner only drank one glass...thinking that the charge for two was a mistake. It wasn't a mistake. The guy ringing me up for my bill pretended not to understand me eventhough I was careful to say it in Spanish. He kept pretending not to know what I was saying eventhough he was the one who mopped up the spilled glass and definately knew what I was saying. He also claimed to be the manager.
So I go get our server so he can explain not to charge me, then my server looks me in the face and says "it was your responsibility" ...that the table wasn't stable. I guess I was supposed to bring my own patio stones to level my own table lol anyway I go inside to pay and I don't see or smell a wood oven. So I don't think they had the wood oven even going at that point. If they even have one. I think they get away with bad service and lying about their food because of their hours.
Also it didn't say la tea just "Pizzeria" but it's the same spot in this listing, same venue, same menu and staff were wearing shirts called "La Tea".
Never again. Unfortunately it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Literally and...
Read moreIt was very busy, but we were happy to wait. We were disappointed to wait nearly an hour for our food, whilst watching others get theirs quicker. At one point the waitress even came and asked us if we had finished so more people could sit. Hmmm we hadn't even got our cutlery at this point. When our dinner came, they had forgotten the salad, and my husband's dinner was not what he had ordered, so he had to wait another 20 mins for his. Food was good when we finally got it, but they really could only cater for half the amount of...
