Roots — Restaurant in A Coruña

I came here all the way from Santiago de Compostela. This Roots had 0 visible signs with its name but has a 2nd place next to it that isn't on Google maps, "Summer at roots". I sadly ordered a coke and got myself a menu from the bar. Waiter didn't speak English but I managed to ask about the vegan options mentioned on Google maps and there were 0. When paying a different guy told me about this Roots next door. The waiter never mentioned it and I asked them 3 times why not - no reply. I went to this Roots, they didn't apologise about lack of sign or information but rudely told me they did not serve food. In the evening. They said after 4pm. That's it. Rude, no food, I went without dinner yesterday. Never returning though will live in A Coruña...

Apart from the friendly and great staff, we should have believed a review we had read. The previous customer shared that if it was not for the names on the menu, he would not have realised he was eating dumplings and ramen. Dumplings tasted like pasta filling. Nothing fusion about it. It was a 100% Western dumpling. As you can see the picture uploaded, this cannot be ramen if you are using 2-minute noodles, the stock, the meat was all confused. Hace un año, me hablaron muy bien de este sitio, me esperaba algo totalmente diferente a lo que me encontré. No hay por donde cogerlo. Comimos entre otras cosas "gyozas" Que, entendiendo la premisa de cocina fusión y lejos de criticar el sabor del relleno, era como comer pan. La parte superior de la gyoza estaba dura por completo, rozando lo quemado. Pedimos también "kimchi ramen", nos avisaron de que no quedaba carne de ningún tipo para añadir a los otros platos (siendo las diez de la noche). Por donde empezar, los fideos estaban duros y sabían a los típicos fideos instantáneos de Maggi. La col china no era tal, era repollo del que le echas al caldo gallego, y, el sabor de la sopa era patético, ni kimchi ni nada, parecía como si le hubiesen echado un sobre de saborizante de fideos instantáneos. Además de que me lo sirvieron casi frío. Todo esto seguramente lo habría pasado por alto y no me hubiese molestado en venir aquí a dejar una mala valoración si no fuese porque la persona que vino a la mesa cuando terminamos se puso a preguntar en plan mal, que si no nos había gustado (porque lo dejamos casi todo) y oye, si me preguntas mi opinión te la voy a dar, con educación siempre. "Es que ya pone que es con repollo en la carta" "No te gusta el kimchi entonces" "Siempre hay una primera vez y una última".
