They depend too much on the beautiful location.
We had to queue for a while to get in, so if you are going try to reserve a table.
We were seated at a table that didn't have enough seats for the 4 of us. The waitress kind of mumbled something (not sure if it was in Spanish or English) and vaguely pointed over to another table with a spare seat.
So we went and fetched our own chairs.
As for the service, it was extremely slow, unbelievably slow. We would have had more than one drink, we had plans for a night of cocktails, but they took forever to come take an order. We were seated without a menu for drink or food and the waitor gave us seconds to choose a cocktail when he brought one with him.
We really felt like we were an inconvenience.
Then we waited even longer for the drinks to come and had to call for another waitor to try to get some service. At which point the waitress then removed the menu we managed to find at the bar to be able to order another drink but they obviously didn't want us to order anything.
Then when the drinks finally came they removed the 3rd menu we managed to find leaving us no way to order again.
By which time we couldn't be bothered and just left.
Shame because it was a gorgeous location...
Read moreThe staff is very nice, usually there's great live music although not today as we are still under CoVid19 pandemic guidelines, but had very nice fried Calamari, pimientos de Padrón, and ice cold draft beer in a beautiful setting just fivety meters from the sea.
Revised 10 August 2023:
The food is not as generous or as good as two years ago. But that does not by itself account from 5 down to 2 stars.
The feeling of being taken does. Mind you the gentleman that brought me to drink was very polite. And he was fast . But we're talking here about an 11 - Eleven Euro mojito.
For Tenerife that's a load of money, at least one should get a slight buzz out of it.
Yet nothing. And not just me...
I enjoyed the couple dried fruits, large glass with plenty of shaved ice. That's it.
I'm sorry, l love the view and the music. Have booked several photoshoots coming soon near El Coqueluche, but I'm not ending my sessions here anymore.
It makes me feel silly ordering anything other than...
Read more5 stars to this awesome chiringuito. We went to Tenerife for a bachelor party, first place we went after leaving our stuff at the hotel was Coquelche. We got there at 11AM (left well past 7pm 😂)… it was rainy but still manageable , we started drinking, and then after a couple of hours there, the weather started improving, the atmosphere becoming pleasant, more and more people filling up the place,… 4 hours on, I won’t lie, most of us were drunk, blazed, and really happy and having a good time. And the whole staff were amazing, some even danced and sang with us, it was really fun; there was also a live band, one of the waitresses was a singer (great voice), their music was cool and mellow (they played some Bob Marley), which made the stunning sunset even more sublime. The whole time there was just a blast! Thank you to the staff for been so kind, fun and patient with us. Really grateful and I highly recommend this place. Hope to come back someday again. All...
