We ordered and the food came about 15 till 20 min later. But the waiter forgot my starters. But I didn't mind and was thinking I will eat it when my husband gets his main dish. He ordered paella as his main dish. Later on we saw that paella costs €35 and were a bit worried because we did not know it would be a whole pan for several people. It was already 8.15 pm and we past 1 hour since our first food on the table. So I asked how long will the paella take? The waiter asked the kitchen and he said 20 till 25 min. We reacted dissatisfied and told him we did not know that it would take so long. We also had our 4 year old with us and told him that she was a bit tired and needed to go to bed. But kept waiting. After 40 min we decided that we would ask them to wrapp the paella up and take it to our hotel. My husband did not feel hungry anymore after 2 hours in the restaurant and our daughter was really tired. We were fed up of waiting. In all the meantime waiting for them paella the waiters never once came to ask us if we wanted to drink something or check on us. In the end the paella wasn't even prepared and the other waiter told us that it would normally take half an hour. We skipped it and asked for the bill. The waiter said it was all a confusion. But why did he then asked the kitchen how long the paella CV would take?! He also gave us the wrong bill. The food we've got was really fine and tasty. But the service...
Read more2 star rating was for the chicken breast which was very good, the rest was zero or 1 star. I have called in a few times for a drink when walking around town and had heard good things about the food. We booked via telephone the day before as it is often full, and arrived on time. We were told to take either of the 2 empty tables. When the waiter came he queried our booking but then accepted it. He took our drink order after about 10 minutes when it arrived he just plonked it on the table returning several minutes later for the food order. We had specifically come for the mojo chicken as our regular place has now closed. We asked for bread and alioli, salad, spicy chicken and fries only to be told there was none left. It was 7:30pm on a monday!!! He said chicken breast was good but never mentioned menu and as we were rather upset by general attitude and no spicy chicken we accepted. One with fried and one with canarian potatoes. They eventually arrived 30 minutes later and the chicken was very good indeed but my canarian potatoes was just TWO!!! with no suaces and the vegetables was a few very thin slices hidden under the chicken (see photos). When the bill arrived there was a 2 euro charge for the potatoes yet the choice had been them or fries!! Needless to say we won't return due to overcharging and...
Read moreIf you want to eat traditional Spanish food, away from the tourist traps, then this is one place worth seeking out.
The food is absolutely amazing, but don't expect to eat three courses.
The starters are to die for and I would suggest just ordering a selection. The portions are generous and they don't all arrive at once, so you can graze your way through them. It's so easy to get carried away as the selection is fantastic and by the time our party had finished them, we were defeated.
I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, the blood sausage, squid and octopus. In fact just have a plate of everything.
We never managed the main course, but the steaks some of our party had were phenomenal.
The service was fantastic and I can't recommend...
