This is where you can have hearty food from the land: here in Restaurante España in Adeje! This is where locals come to eat; the atmosphere is quaint and quiet but lively and radiates with history. When inquired about a picture on the wall, the owner told us of the history of the place: founded in 1930, it's one of the two original restaurants in the street. The spicy fried chicken was delicious, and so was the salad (the freshest and juiciest tomato you'll ever have). The "mojos" (sauces) were good too, with the red one ("rojo") being especially spicy (so is their signature). The fruity wine ("afrutado") was delicious and a sweet contrast to the spicy chicken, overall balancing the meal. Though often not mentioned in review, the bread itself that was serve with the "mojos" as an appetizer was good too and of higher quality, which was a nice surprise not so white like often served in most places). The dessert was a home-made "polvito", a sweet end to a great meal made of cream, caramel,...

Everything you have read about this place is true and then some. It looks so unconscious but as soon as you sit you are made to feel welcome and then the chicken arrives WOW I have eaten lots of chicken in my life but the crispness and vinegar heavy sauce on these bad boy is something else. A massive plate of chicken, chips to die for a simple salad that's dressed to impress and three different Tenerife dips along with soft local bread and a liter of local red and the bill was 31 Euros 👌👌👌 I am only here for five nights but will definitely return before I leave. Hands down the best fried chicken on the...

This is one of my favourite places in Adeje to eat garlic chicken. I’ve tried others but they don’t compare. Everything so fresh and cooked to perfection. The salad of lettuce tomato and onion have the most amazing flavours. The mojo is freshly made and again the flavours are amazing. The chicken is crispy and the fries are made fresh not frozen or oven fries. Not a red wine drinker but here they serve the local red wine chilled and I love it. The staff are welcoming, pleasant and have a great sense of humour and that why we go back. Family who visit us here always have this restaurant on their list of...
