We called here yesterday and what a great piece of history it is, we had a chat with the owner’s daughter who told us how it had been passed down through the family and a lot about it’s history, some of the rooms are finished and some under renovations, as a carpenter of over 40 years I can appreciate the work and TLC needed to complete this project and it’s not an easy task when the work is being carried out by donations, it is definitely worth a visit, we drove from the other side of the island and was not disappointed, thank you for sharing...
Read moreA huge surprise. We've walked past the gates lots of times, thinking it was ruined. Today, we actually went inside. If you enjoy looking at historic or cultural sites, this is for you. The family have renovated most of the site, which is full of antique machinery and tools from its time as a fruit growing centre. The buildings are prime examples of Canarian architecture and the garden and views are stunning. We were made very welcome and given lots of information. We'll be back to see how the renovations...

It's one of the oldest buildings on Tenerife - built to defend against pirates, then became a major centre for Adeje commerce. It was badly damaged by a fire, then turned into a tomato packing factory, then mostly abandoned - but is now being restored. They now have a small shop, and are open for tours on weekday mornings.
