Lovely old building in the middle of Adeje village up in the foothills of the mountains. Got the job done eventually.
It's helpful if you speak and understand basic Spanish although some staff do speak some English.
On my first visit in February 2023, the first lady assistant was not helpful at all, in fact quite curt and borderline racist. I was at a booth in the open and noisy foyer. She was behind one of those plastic screens. It was difficult to hear her. My Spanish is ok but in that environment it was difficult. She had no empathy whatsoever. She told me to get a translator. I told her in Spanish that I was quite capable of translating, provided she spoke above the noise clearly and slowly. After I explained that i suffer a hearing impediment and struggle in noise she backed off.
I then had to drag basic information out of her. Most unhelpful. Not a nice person. On my second visit I met two other members of staff who were very helpful. One of the three that I dealt with went beyond call of duty. So all in all the experience was turned around by the nice staff and I got...
   Read moreThis place has a tourist trap with parking, temporal sign can be added after car is parked and it is immediately evacuated. Also you can get a fine for a little wrong parking on the parking spot. The main problem is not the fine, the problem is that you can pay it ONLY after going to the city hall, and spending your time. So they want not only your money but also a time, it is humiliating.
