Roys Pizza & Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Adeje

Have a wedding at The Ritz Carton and a group of 12 had been recommended by the wedding planner to go here. We arrived at at the due time and some of us were dismayed by the appearance at the beginning. We had guys from Australia , Marrakech , London and India pretty much all foodies. We were welcomed by Sophia who immediately struck as a bubbly character and as the evening went on we quickly realised how important a person she must be for the business . She made our evening to say the least. Now on to the food from the starters like tandoori chicken on the bone to chicken tikka to the pakoras .. absolutely delicious .. flavoursome & authentic . The main dishes of lamb curry and chicken curry were one the best we’ve had, tender and very well balanced in spices. It happened to be a birthday for one of the persons and Sophia must have overheard. We holidayed in the area from 3rd to 17th April 2023. We ended up going to Roy's on a number of occasions, as well as ordering take away due to the location but mainly because the food was truly outstanding, both pizzas and indian meals were exceptional. They are known for their deep pan pizzas which we rarely eat (preferring the thin type) but these were delicious and extremely filling. If you normally eat a medium thin pizza then a small deep pan is all you need. The Indian meals were outstanding and the best we've ever had. Even got my youngest who does not like spicy food to eat these. The staff were so friendly and amazingly helpful, big shout out to Sofia and Sergio who made us feel truly welcome. They kept bringing to free appetisers each time which were lovely and gave us the opportunity to try new dishes. Didn't have to wait long for the food. Can't wait to come back again and see you guys and enjoy the great food. Thanks from me...

Sadly the reviews I'm seeing do not replicate the 'pizza' we ordered last night.

First thing - Telephone service was spot on, very accommodating for delivery as our villa is in a very awkward part of Adeje. They kindly called me to say the driver had left to ensure the pizza arrived on time.

Now the pizza - I understand they put a little twist on their idea of a standard pizza. (adding Indian herbs and spices) However me and a group of 6 ONLY had 4 spices.. We sadly couldn't digest the maddnes they chucked together. The dough was slightly under or to thick, the mix of spice and meats DO NOT work. Even the cheese pizza was all the place! It needs a thinner base and more attention with the quality of the toppings.
