Restaurante El Pulpo — Restaurant in Alaior

Came here for as a family of five , found almost straight away that the server was a little unfriendly to be honest wasn’t exactly warming Ordered steaks a manly which where underwhelming for £25 euros , our child ordered pizza was undercooked how you can manage that I don’t know , ordered our food and wanted a wine which didn’t come with the food as asked so had to ask again , never anybody came over to ask if our food was okay and never asked if we wanted more drinks even though our glasses where empty, also when we asked for bill and two wines where added to the bill but we had only 1 so add the get them to remove that ,which yes can happen that’s why it’s always important to check the bill , also when we tried to pay by card they added over £70 to bill which they said was a mistake fair enough but again if we hadn’t of checked would of paid lot more than we should have Overall food average service was poor I wouldn’t go back to this restaurant but others we have been to in carta porter Menorca we most...

What a lovely restaurant we have been here a few times now and we love the food and the Atmosphere unfortunately 1st time back last night I feel like I picked up someone else's bill instead of are own if I didn't then price's have sky rocketed potato bravas to share for 2 half roast chicken and burger and chips one water and one vodka and coke €108 total with tip as I've said lovely place but this just doesn't seem correct 🤔 An update on this review i have to say is amazing we decided to have another meal here last night as ive already said The food was delicious on are arrival before we were even shown to are table the gentleman recognised us form 2 nights before and said that there had been a mistake with are Bill And that it would fixed and it was at the end of are night they apologised and amended are Bill for this night so to wrap this review up amazing food lovely staff and now honesty this is the place I think anyone would like to spend an evening for a...

3 stars because....

1. The only veggie option is lasagne. It's very good, but a bit uninspiring
2. You are made to feel like you can't linger and relax after you've eaten. Plates are whipped away at speed!
3. The staff don't interact or engage with you. It's all about the getting you in and getting you out. A bit too chaotic for us.

We have eaten in most of the places around El Pulpo and you are made to feel very welcome by the staff. They chat, we chat, they remember you when you make return visits. Not in El Pulpi I'm afraid. Also, not a great place if you have restless kids who like to wander. The staff whizz about hot dishes serving etc. Definetly off our list from now on. The place across the street,(won't give name, just initials, S P), is on par with El Pulpo as far as food goes. But their staff are the best in Calan Porter. And you are made to feel like family...
