Restaurante Sa Paissa — Restaurant in Alaior

We decided to eat here one evening as we came here last year and enjoyed our afternoon meal.

We were seated very quickly right next to the counter and kitchens and whilst it was busy but had to wait a while for any menus or ordering. Once we had placed our order for drinks and food we were offered bread and butter to wait which was nice to keep us going.

We ordered a large steak and two pizzas, after waiting ten minutes the steak came out which to be fair was quite a large portion, however the two pizzas we ordered were left on the side and we could see them left there and ignored by the waiters who were going back and forth with other plates and meals and ignoring our pizzas whilst one of our party was halfway through their steak. All three meals should’ve came out at the same time.

I have to say, the pizzas once on our table were very nice and tasty.

Once finished it took an age for anyone to acknowledge us to ask for the bill, then another ten minutes passed whilst we had the bill to even get anyone to clear our table and even see that we wanted to pay the bill, and even then I had to ask two people for it!

From the time it took to ask for the bill to the time we paid, it took at least 20 minutes. I wholeheartedly appreciate that they were busy and a lot of people in the restaurant, but we just felt ignored as guests, and we were just part of a huge conveyor belt of people eating there.

The food was lovely, but the service wasn’t great and I didn’t feel appreciated...

Alex is the new owner of this restaurant. His family has years of experience of Restaurante Lorengo where I always had excellent food.

Tonight i was in the new location and food quality is still the same. The filet steak from local beef is perfect. Medium grilled as it’s best.

If you like pepper sauce - here we go. But be aware, it’s a spicy one. ❤️

The indoor location, supports out of the season, is comfy and you feel welcome. In summer you have nice tables and sun shadow on the outside. I am looking forward to be back next time. It’s a must visit every time in Cala En Porter

Hint: order the paellas...

Food was OK - overpriced for what it was though. The atmosphere is nice however the service was abysmal.

We had to ask multiple times for simples things, such as water or other drinks. All the while you can see the waiters standing there gauntlessly.

When we were able to get someone's attention, we were given death stares and attitude (bear in mind it's not like we were being rude to them - It just seemed like asking for drinks was spitting in their faces).

We went twice (to give it then benefit of the doubt) but it did not improve second time around.

Just go to Lorengos 2 minutes away. Fantastic set menu for 25 euros, excellent atmosphere and quick and...
