Giving a 1 star rating is being extremely kind. PLEASE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT at all costs. If you want to be greeted with the poorest service, the most unpleasant and horrifying mannered staff members then it’s the place to be. I had the worst experience a few days ago. Waited over 1hr+ for Garlic bread. We were given our Main course before both starters were given (turned out to be a couple beside us and I noticed that before touching the plates as they were a full course ahead of us!). Asked the extremely arrogant bald man with glasses, a woman with died red hair and a relatively young man for our Garlic bread and every single one of them were not capable of following it up. We were at the restaurant for an hour and a half at this point and only received our soup. I approached the waiter with glasses and told him that we had been waiting far too long that we had to leave as we had small kids to go back too. We were patient enough but the wait for Garlic Bread was ridiculous. I asked if we could settle for the drinks and soup and we’d get our food else where. He arrived back with the bill for €67, I reassured him that I would not be paying for the food we didn’t receive. He was dumbfounded. He came back with a bill to the value of €61 and again told him that we were not paying for food we didn’t receive. He then got extremely annoyed and angry and started to point his finger, turned around, gestured the iPad over his right shoulder and said something.. he’s lucky I didn’t understand what he said! He came back with the young male who had better English and I said I was not paying for food we didn’t receive to come back with a bill for the cost of the 3 drinks & the 2 soups. Or if it was too much of a big ask I’d itemise it myself and leave the cash for them. I was so close to leaving without paying due to the frustration and big ordeal, however, lucky for them - I'm not that type of person! Eventually, they we’re capable of sending a bill to the table for €37. The soups cost €8.95 each which I was shocked by! Considering the size and it was apart of a meal deal so therefore the portion size was clearly smaller as what it would have been if I ordered it from the starter menu. He told me to go inside and speak to the manager -she hadn’t a word of English so she got another unpleasant lady chef over. Thankfully she had good English. I explained with pure frustration what had been happening and she couldn’t comprehend the problem either. I explained the huge delay for Garlic bread etc and everything else that went on! Again, ZERO customer service skills whatsoever, couldn’t understand things from our point of view. In the end I got so frustrated, I tapped my phone and paid for the bill which was now miraculously at €31 for 2 soups and 3 drinks. In all my years of eating in restaurants and in different countries - this was horrific! I had so much anger and hate leaving and the worst thing of all they didn’t give a crap! We left and went to the most incredible Italian restaurant just over the bridge PROJECT CÁFE PIZZA, it’s hidden down the very end). The two men in partnership were the most welcoming and kindhearted people ever, they just wanted nothing but a good experience for their customers. They went above and beyond to make our meal so enjoyable, it made me realise just how horrific Loro Verde actually is. Please don’t come here, they don’t deserve the business what so ever, please pop into...
Read moreWould give this a 0 if I could... The staff waiting outside the restaurant were eager for us to go in and as it looked busy and seemed to have a good atmosphere we mistakenly agreed to be seated. We were seated at around the same time as another table close to us and the poor waiter sat them at a reserved table without realising. The manager proceeded to shout at him and humiliate him in front of the entire restaurant making him and the family seated feel very uncomfortable. After we had waited for a long time we finally received the menus before waiting even longer for a drinks order and even longer again for our food order to be taken. By this time we had already been waiting about 30 minutes. The manager (if she could even be called a manager) took our order and was very rude and blunt. We then waited an hour for the food to arrive which was all wrong. The kids meal had a different pasta sauce than we had asked for, the salmon came with the wrong side and the chicken was missing the sauce. Instead of apologising, the manager didn't even acknowledge the inconvenience of waiting and missing food. We said that we no longer wanted the sauce for the chicken as we had waited too long to which again there was no apology or even suggestion of receiving it for free. The waitress however was very apologetic and recognised the rudeness of this woman that is called a manager. All other members of staff made no eye contact whatsoever so you could not get anyone's attention. After all this you would expect and apology or a discount of some sort wouldn't you? But no instead the bill arrives with two extra bottles of water which we did not have and again instead of apologising she accused us of stealing them - like anyone needs to steal two bottles of water! We expressed our annoyance and bad experience and we were laughed at, yes laughed at by the manager. She pulled faces at us from across the restaurant and circled the table making us feel extremely uncomfortable. To finish of this awful meal we spoke to the man outside the restaurant trying to get people into the restaurant sharing our experience with this horrible woman. She then came out of the restaurant and said to the man 'ignore them, they're rude'. I'm sorry but what sort of customer service is that? Being called rude by the manager who is probably the rudest, most arrogant, nasty person I have ever met.
Overall, without this awful woman as a manager this could be an ok restaurant. But I would NEVER step foot in that restaurant again. Definitely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Read moreOn walking by initially I told the man outside we were wanting to have a meal for my partners birthday.
We were seated and confused by the set menu’s. I attempted to catch someone’s attention to ask about this, but all staff were busy at the time. My partner asked for 4 items off the menu, to be told they don’t have it available, which is fine. It happens.
When they came, I asked for garlic bread and spaghetti bolognese and was then asked how I wanted the meat cooked. At no point was I told I would be getting 2 main courses (this may be me being totally stupid, but I assumed I had the choice of steak or spaghetti bolognese. My partner order a starter and a main, again no mention that we had ordered 2 starters and 3 main courses (again maybe my stupidity).
When the ‘starters’ arrived, we got garlic bread, garlic prawns and a spaghetti bolognese. The prawns and bolognese were lovely, no complaints at all. The garlic bread was very greasy and oily, but with garlic cloves in the baguette. This was overpowering with oil. Photo attached.
The mains then arrived. I have added what arrived vs what we ate. Lamb chops, were very fatty. The steak again which we ended up sharing, was nice, what we ate of it, other than again the amount of oil/ liquid under it on the plate (this may also be my own preference of what I like. The chips however, were really greasy and oily, we picked the best ones off both plates and left the rest.
We were asked if we wanted desert (part of the set meal) and I declined and stated the meal wasn’t very nice. I was told ‘ok’ and asked for the bill. When the lady arrived with the bill, I was not asked any questions of how the meal was and again said it wasn’t very nice. I did not get a response. I was the told the total was 80€. I did not complain, no but on 2 occasions I did say the food was not good.
Such a shame as we are not fussy eaters by any means but this was a bad meal, and when showing clear displeasure were ignored on 2 occasions. Some parts of this meal were lovely, but overall totally not worth the...
