We chose this hotel for our all-inclusive holiday and thought that despite the bad reviews, it looked like it had been refurbished and we would give it a go. Our holiday was with TUI; we were assured that there would be a TUI rep available every day between 9-12 every morning. We never saw a rep and booked excursions through the app with no instruction of where transfers would collect us. On arrival, we were given a map of all the restaurants, pools and snack bars we could use. The restaurant closest to us was only a 30 second walk away and looked wonderful; we went here for food and were turned away as apparently the colour of our all-inclusive wrist band meant that this restaurant was not included. We then had the extra five-minute walk to the second restaurant, which we were thankfully let into, and the food was far below average. The same food was served every day and was no more than pasta or dried out meals that had been left under the lamp for hours. We ate out at restaurants several nights despite having paid for the all-inclusive meals. At night, the resort was crawling with rats outside both restaurants, and the night time entertainment was little more than embarrassing. The children's shows were on until 9pm, and people were expected to wait to watch entertainment from 9:30pm until 11pm, which to me is not reasonable. The music then kept me up from this time until past midnight.
The advertisements for the hotel boast that there are 8 pools to choose from and several bars and snack bars; again, the pools allocated to residents depended on which hotel block you were assigned to, some of which did not have a snack bar. The bar we got was very basic and had no snacks and only drinks. Although the lady at the bar was pleasant, drink options were very basic and all cocktails were premade as non-alcoholic and alcohol was added to the mixture on request. The pool was freezing cold and there was no music or entertainment during the day, and so many days we just sat and played cards to occupy ourselves. Additionally, there were several hotel blocks that were derelict and chained shut, and the adjoined pools were green and full of litter and algae, which was an absolute eyesore to those in nearby blocks and dangerous as they were not manned by a lifeguard.
The location was very remote and there was nothing for miles other than shops selling the same bricka brack such as towels, bottle openers and fridge magnets. The beach down the road was lovely, even though it was a 30 minute walk away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from on the strip if, like us, the hotel's food and drinks were disappointing.
The cleaners did tend to the rooms daily, however they just walked into our rooms without knocking, even when the cleaning sign was not on the door and cleaning was not requested. There were several days where I was woken by the cleaners being very loud at early hours in the morning and shouting and laughing down the corridors. There were days when we were still in the room and the cleaners would just walk in, which was very intrusive.
On the resort grounds there were several men that were not staff trying to sell People items such as off-brand shoes, hats and sunglasses, and they would constantly approach and follow us around asking if we wanted to buy their wares, and even asked my partner if he wanted to buy drugs!! They approached us at the poolside or on the way to the bar or restaurant and pestered us the entire holiday. I understand people have to make a living, but again this is extremely intrusive and made us very uncomfortable for people to approach our sun beds begging for us to buy items.
Overall, our holiday was disappointing, however from previous reviews, we should have lowered our expectations. This is listed as a 2/3 star hotel, and to me it's closer to a 2 star. The mosquitos ate us alive during the evenings, although that cannot be blamed on the hotel. The little nice weather we got was enjoyable, however we will not be revisiting any Belle Vue hotels...
Read moreStayed for 2 full weeks in July and here’s my honest review. We booked a deluxe room with balcony (half-board – breakfast and dinner) in BelleVue Club Alcudia, after reading a mix of good and bad reviews and seeing the 3-star rating. Our room was in the Fedra1 building.
🌟 Pros:
The room was spacious, modern, and honestly very comfortable. The air conditioner worked like a dream – a lifesaver in Mallorca's heat.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and kind – from reception to cleaning. Special shoutout to the young African woman who cleaned our room – she was always smiling, did her job perfectly, and always knocked and asked permission before entering.
The dinner buffet was good. Even picky eaters will find something to enjoy. There was always chicken, fish, beef, pasta/noodles, and a huge selection of desserts. Honestly, the chicken was amazing every single night.
There are small markets inside the hotel area where you can easily buy anything – water, swimming gear, snacks, etc. Super convenient.
Multiple pools with different depths – perfect for everyone, and enough to not feel overcrowded.
Laundry facilities on site – useful for longer stays.
🚫 Cons:
Privacy issues: Some cleaners just barged into the room without knocking, which can be super uncomfortable – imagine you're changing clothes or in the bathroom.
The cleaning itself wasn’t great. It seemed like they used one dirty mop bucket for the whole building. We kept finding long hair all over the floor (we’re two guys with short hair). After every mop session, we had to pick up hair from the floor.
Only one big dining hall for this massive resort – no matter where your room is, you’ll have to walk far. In July heat and humidity, this daily hike to breakfast/dinner felt like a workout. By the time you arrive, you’re already sweating.
The restaurant was always crowded – queues for everything: to enter, to get food, coffee, even to toast bread. Finding a free table sometimes felt like a battle. Totally not a relaxing vacation vibe.
Not enough staff in the restaurant. Sometimes we had to wait a long time for a waiter to clean the table – eventually we gave up and started cleaning it ourselves.
The waiters were clearly overworked and it showed – many looked stressed and unhappy. One older waiter with long hair tied back was particularly loud, slamming cutlery, and had several tense interactions with guests. It didn’t create a nice atmosphere.
Breakfast got very repetitive after one week. If you’re like me and only eat hot breakfast, you’re stuck with the same “English breakfast” daily: dry bacon, fried eggs, beans, potato croquettes, and two cheap sausages with weird taste. That was it – every single day.
The water in the restaurant tasted awful – strong chlorine taste. It’s basically tap water, and drinking it is not pleasant.
Overall, I enjoyed dinner much more than breakfast – more variety, less chaos, and better taste.
Mosquitoes were a huge problem. Because of the nearby lake and lack of proper mosquito control, there are millions of aggressive tropical mosquitoes that bite even during the day. If you don’t completely cover your skin with strong repellent, they will eat you alive. I’m not exaggerating – they can totally ruin your trip.
The distance to the beach is also annoying. Depending on where you stay, it can be quite far. From the Fedra building, it was almost 2 km walk to the beach – every day. Not ideal in the hot sun.
Final thought: It’s not the worst place, and it has potential – especially for families or people who like big resorts. But personally, I wouldn’t return unless they seriously improve cleanliness, staff management, and...
Read moreWe went for three nights self catered. Myself and my three year old. I spent around £250 on food and shopping in two full days there and I didn’t buy that much. It’s a bit expensive there. |So, overall this place is maximum 3 star worthy. You get what you pay for. There were definitely highs and lows- so I’ll list them :) ||Pros: •beautiful weather, pools are mostly clean, most staff are pleasant, shops nearby, beach nearby, rooms are cleaned most days, the plenty of other families in the area/hotel, poolside dancing entertainment... overall a good experience with my child. |•I’ve seen many comments regarding the hotel security- yes random people do have access to the grounds- but, I dropped my sons shorts off our balcony into the back of the hotel, and when I walked around to grab them, security came straight away to see what I was doing, so I do believe they watch out. |•I had no mosquito issues! Arrived may 2025.. we weren’t bitten at all and brought no protection from the biters. |•It’s not too noisy at night time||Cons:• upon arriving to reception at 3am, the check in staff called me up to be next- asked me if it was just myself and my son- I said yes- then he immediately turned away and served a couple with no children, and mine was tired in the pram.. not great. Quite rude. However the next member of staff was really helpful and directed me to my room from outside the building as he could see I was nervous about walking in the dark. The complex is huge be careful !|•The stench of sewers upon arrival was almost unbearable - but it was gone the next day and only hints of it came back two days later. |•The rooms are not FULLY cleaned.. I saw a few insects/bugs in the room, hair under the duvet covers, bathroom taps had limescale buildup, under the beds were dirty etc. but it didn’t bother us too much as this isn’t exactly a 5 star. |•Staff don’t make an effort to show you around or ask if you need help, in my experience, you have to ask for help or go to reception for directions. |•There is no night time entertainment at all. Nowhere to sit and have a drink other than around the pool (from what I could find!) but that got closed off in the evening anyway so we just went back into the hotel room. |•The “all inclusive” buffet is cheap burgers, hotdogs and chips all day every day. No variety. Very glad I went self catering. I noticed a hotdog bun was mouldy there too. Not great. |•The shop attached to the hotel is really expensive. I got essentials for the fridge, maybe 5 items, and it cost 30 euros. |•You get approached all the time by random people trying to sell things. The African women persist to call you “oi you come here, come here oi oi” |and make you feel really uncomfortable. They shove pictures of hairstyles in ur face and don’t take no for an answer- when you do say no they mock you in their language .. it’s not very nice.|•I don’t know if they were renovating or what. But all during the day and all during the night, all I could hear is what sounded like an electric drill- or furniture being dragged around. ||If you’re travelling alone or with young children- ask for help because you won’t receive it- especially at Palma airport it’s terrible there was nobody around to help for directions- but this of course is not the hotels fault. ||Overall, the area was great and I would go again. I would consider picking another hotel next time in hopes of better entertainment. But yes, If I wanted to save money, I would go here again yes!. If you have booked to travel here don’t expect too much,...
