My wife, Sara, and I had the most wonderful evening at Sa Roqueta in Port d´Alcudia! This is a truly authentic Italian gem, run by a fantastic husband and wife team. He masterfully prepares all the food fresh in the kitchen, while she, the lovely Hanna, takes care of everything front of house.
Hanna is an absolute delight. She's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, taking the time to explain every dish, the origin of the wines and beers, and the regions everything comes from. It really adds to the experience. She's so friendly and even remembered our names after just overhearing me speak to my wife – such a lovely personal touch!
We started with the mixed cheese and cured meats platter. It was beautifully presented, and the flavours were simply amazing. Having Hanna describe each item and its regional Italian origin made it even more special and enjoyable.
We will absolutely be returning to Sa Roqueta. To top it all off, we were very pleasantly surprised by the bill, which was much less than we were expecting for such high-quality food and service. Highly...
Read moreIf there is a better restaurant in Alcudia, I would be stunned. The team is from Naples and takes pride in their work, serving a small menu of thoughtful, generous dishes. We were greeted warmly, including our 3 year old, and made to feel so welcome. To start my husband and I shared the caprese salad. This is not the classic - a mozzarella is served with a rich tomato sauce, bread and a pesto like topping. Delish. Red wine from Sardinia (at €4.50 a glass) was excellent - fruity, full with a pleasingly crisp and elegant finish. Hubbie had a cheese risotto with hazelnut crumb, and I had the frankly flawless ossobucco with risotto Milanese. Best thing I've eaten in years. Kiddo had a crowd pleasing bowl of penne with tomato sauce and finished the lot. We shared the puddings - you'll want to try the cannolo. One of those meals you will remember for a long time - and not because of the (ludicrously reasonable) price. Book...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Sa Roqueta Wine & Food in Alcudia, Mallorca, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was perfectly cooked, with authentic Italian ingredients that transported me straight to Italy with every bite. The ambiance of the place is quiet and romantic, making it an ideal spot for a special evening out.
The highlight of the evening was the hospitality. The hostess was incredibly sweet and heartwarming, making us feel right at home. It was lovely to learn that her husband is the chef, adding a personal touch to the already exceptional dining experience.
If you’re in Alcudia and craving authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy and romantic setting, Sa Roqueta Wine & Food is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
