Sa Llenya — Restaurant in Alcúdia

Terrible service - we stood waiting for 10 mins to get a table for 2, then another couple turned up and got shown to a table (non-reserved in advance) straight away. We then finally got shown a table by the manager (didn’t catch her name) who was quite frankly rude to us when we politely asked if there were any other tables outside left as this one was next to a loud air-con unit indoors. As soon as she said it was the last table left we were happy to sit there if it meant we could dine in the restaurant as we thought it had good reviews. We then sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to give us a menu or at least set the table as it was literally just a white sheet with no table settings or cutlery but we got completely ignored the whole time we were there as if we didn’t exist. We ended up walking out without saying anything (not that it was noticed) due to being ignored for so long and spent our money on a Tomahawk Steak at ‘Restaurant Negre’ (much nicer!).

It’s such a shame as we were looking forward to eating here and have no idea why we were treated that way when we were polite and pleasant, can only assume we were judged by our age or the fact that we were english? Who knows, but I wouldn’t recommend this at all due to the inattentive staff who made you feel small for wanting to eat there!! Also the atmosphere wasn’t great in here! What an amazing restaurant. The food and atmosphere was stunning and the waiting staff were so kind and friendly, nothing was too much for them.

They answer any questions you have about food and drink, they picked out a nice wine for me and helped me and my partner decide on what to have. They even took some photos of us and our food for us.

The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were amazing too (both chips and baked potatoe). I've seen a few reviews saying the meat was under seasoned but this isn't the case, it was just right.

Découvert par hasard c’est devenu mon restaurant favori à Alcudia ! J’y suis allé deux fois, une première fois seul (ma femme était malade!) j’ai été admirablement bien reçu , l’ensemble des employés ont été extrêmement sympathiques et avenants , ils ont été au petit soin tout du long du repas. Quant à la qualité de la nourriture, j’avais commandé un steak à un prix très raisonnable (~30€) et je me suis retrouvé devant une énorme côte de bœuf sur laquelle deux personnes auraient pu se régaler sans problème ! Le gazpacho en entrée était tout aussi délicieux , quant à la boisson j’ai suivi le conseil du serveur qui m’a apporté un gin excellent (et je ne suis vraiment pas fan de Gin en temps normal!) , le restaurant m’a même préparé un petit plat d’aïoli à emporter avant de partir pour ma femme qui était malade à l’hôtel !

Nous y sommes donc retournés lorsque ma femme s’est rétablie , ce soir la le restaurant était bondé , et pourtant les serveurs, incroyablement sympathiques comme la fois précédente malgré la foule présente ont pu nous trouver une table rapidement pour deux (alors que le restaurant était visiblement complet!) et ont été au petits soins tout du long du repas pour ma compagne encore fatiguée (ils lui ont trouvé de quoi se réchauffer et n’ont pas manqué de petites attentions discrètes mais touchantes!), nous avons commandé des Gambas et des côtelettes d’agneau, plats qui étaient excellents à tout point de vue !

Nous sommes repartis très heureux et je tiens encore une fois à remercier toute l’équipe du restaurant pour leur accueil chaleureux et le service impeccable ainsi que la cuisine délicieuse et à un prix plus que raisonnable (j’ai connu des restaurants étoilés ou je sortais moins élogieux! Le rapport qualité prix est très sincèrement incroyable, la présentation des plats est sommaire mais le goût et le savoir faire se ressentent dans chaque bouchée . ) . C’est assez rare de voir un restaurant faire un sans faute (particulièrement dans un endroit si touristique ) mais pour le coup c’est le cas ici.
