Jack Sparrow Cave Tour, 1 adult, 1 teenager (16), two children (12 and 10) The pick-up service that picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off was very good, especially considering that it was included in the price. When we arrived, we quickly got on the jet skis and the guide assigned to us explained everything to us quickly and roughly. The communication overall was pretty good, the guides spoke English pretty fluently and even understood some of my German sentences (I am German). Honestly if you closely listen it’s all the instructions you need even tho you might be overwhelmed at first, however, communicating will probably work out in the end.In the harbor, things went very slowly and when we left the harbor, our guide suddenly drove off at top speed... they could have gone a little slower, especially because it might be difficult for beginners to handle the waves. After a few minutes, however, this problem was no longer there and we could really step on the gas. The view during the whole trip was magnificent, when we got to the cave, we could cool off in the water and it was particularly exciting for the children. After 10 minutes, we got back on the jets and drove back. Halfway through the trip, the guide took videos and photos which we were able to buy later for €10 (the guides also took photos in the cave and other places).
Summary: I definitely think that this trip was worth it, but I would still recommend that if you are not taking children with you, you do the sunset trip or (if you have a boating license) rent a jet ski, as I don't think the cave was that exciting for adults and you could have more fun with several people when renting a jet ski (for example, racing and being more independent from the guide overall). The cave was definitely a very nice experience for the children tho.
What I would pay attention to before booking: Definitely check the weather and maybe write to the guide via WhatsApp, if the wind is strong I could imagine that you could get injured without experience, I have a boating license and have ridden jet skis many times and still sometimes had difficulties (especially in sharp bends (could’ve been because my sister held onto me trying not to fly off aswell) dealing with the waves from the jet skis in front of me or waves from other boats. And of...
Read moreFive stars for the experience. We really enjoyed it, had a great guide, had a lot of fun, and we will recommend it. But:
We booked 3 jet skis via Nofrills Excursions, asked for children’s ages, 2 16 year olds, 1 13 year old who would be on a jet skis with an adult, said fine, booked us on, we paid €477. Told us to arrive 30 minutes early for safety procedures. Asked if we need to take anything with us, we were told no.
We arrived at 11.30 next morning after a 50 minute walk from our hotel, wearing swim gear as we expected to be in the water, didn’t bring phones or anything with us as they don’t have lockers. On arrival we were advised on safety procedures, then asked for ID. We didn’t have any on us, no passports & no phones & our hotel was a 50 minute walk away, no money for a taxi. They wouldn’t let us on the jet skis. Gave us our ticket back & advised to return to the office for a refund.
Later in the day after we had made our way back to the hotel, grabbed my phone, headed back to the Nofrills excursions office, explained the situation to be told ‘we told you’ They didn’t advise of anything, even after we asked if we needed to take anything with us. We were denied refund, they don’t do refunds, again, this was not explained by Lisa. She became very rude saying we should carry ID everywhere we go (even though we had asked!)
I have rang my bank & explained the scam that Lisa & Alcudia jets are running, they have opened a case for fraud. Please DON’T fall for...
