On 22-12-2024, we booked this restaurant at Diversia as it appeared as a new listing in TheFork app which we used to reserve with 30% discount on food except drinks. (we did not know we used this business 5 years ago at a different location).
Food did not taste Indian authentic, as do many other Indian restaurants in Madrid. We had to send back the Lamb Massala as the meat had a bad taste. The shrimp curry was not salted and we had them rectify. They gave us the bill without the theFork 30%. Upon complaint, they reprinted but only applying the agreed discount on 1 dish and not on the food portion as advertised. Then later I received an email from TheFork that they cancelled my reservation. Probably in order to escape any accountability from their conduct and also to avoid paying commission from TheFork, even thought it was thanks to them we found this location in Diversia. Go there at you're own risk. You're are now aware.
5 years ago at a different address We tried and shall not return. While taste was slightly under par with respect to other Indian Cuisine in the Area, with exception for the Kulfi that was much below expectations, the overall trustworthiness we gained from our first, and last experience is low: we have to send the bill 2 times, and was still not correct. First they applied the "wrong" The Fork discount, then "forgot" to apply on some food items and at the 3rd try we paid although was still not matching the...
Read moreUpdate 2: So, I took the offer from Imran to try their restaurant again. I requested the UK palate. It is much more to my liking (like real Indian food). As such, I and also updating my ratings.
FYI- If you do not like sweet butter chicken / chicken tikka masala, then request UK palate when you place your order. Update on my previous review: Imran just called me directly to apologize for my disappointment. He explained the meals are cooked to "Spanish taste". As a diabetic, I was not able to eat the very sweet meal.
Imran offered to send me a new order in the "British" style, which I politely declined. Perhaps I will take him up on the offer on another date and update my rating then. For now, I have updated the service rating for the effort to personally call me to offer a solution. Ordered the butter chicken, chicken tika masala, butter nan and pilaf rice.
The butter chicken and chicken tika masal was VERY SWEET and not to my liking at all. Won't be ordering from here again. Very...
Read moreI normally don't post reviews but felt obligated to this time. We have been in Spain for the last week and have had amazing Indian food at various cities along our path, from Seville to Nerjas, to Barcelona. After reading the many reviews and the positive comments from Indians, especially, we felt confident that this place was going to deliver amazing food as well. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Firstly, there isn't an English menu, which is fine, we were able to figure out the dish names. All the comments about the food tasting authentic is so false that it's a real shame if anyone thinks the food taste authentic. The food is bland, and doesn't have the true flavors of Indian food. We ordered vegetable pakoras, which seems it was just heated up and wasn't fresh. We also ordered daal tadka and malai kofta. The daal was bland and the kofta didn't seem fresh and was sweet. We also ordered masala chai, which was just a tea bag with milk. I do not recommend this place...skip it and go somewhere else! The prices are also...
