Meson Las Duelas — Restaurant in Algeciras

In my 35 years of life, I have eaten in many restaurants, from small local eateries to those with Michelin stars. It seemed to me that little in life could surprise me. What I experienced today in Meson Las Duelas has proved how wrong I was. It is really a great honor to be able to eat there. Each of the dishes was a great surprise for us and a culinary orgasm. This is something amazing. Each of the dishes has been composed in such a way that it is impossible not to admire it. If I had to point out a place where traditional and modern cuisine is combined, this is where you can experience it. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Andalusia, no matter how far away it is. Believe me it's really worth it. You will remember every bite for the rest of your life. We had the opportunity to meet Alberto who owns this place - and at first glance you can see that it is his passion, love and life. He is a unique man who creates a unique place on the map of Spain. Applause also for chefs, waiters, bartenders and all staff - because the work of all these people makes this place so wonderful ... It is a place that deserves a Michelin star. From a trip around Andalusia, a visit to this place will surely remain in my memory and heart forever. If only I am in Spain I will definitely...

Cada vez peor. La comida sigue siendo buena, original y bien presentada, pero el servicio es un desastre y ya no es un caso aislado.

Estuvimos cenando el sábado. Esperamos mesa, algo entendible. Pero una vez sentados, empezó el caos. Tardaron en traernos las bebidas, y para colmo, la comida llegó antes que las bebidas. Inaceptable. Cuando se supone que hay un camarero solo para tomarme la comandas de bebidas.

Después de pedir, comenzaron a venir una y otra vez a decirnos que la cocina iba a cerrar. Pero los platos no llegaban. Cuatro veces nos interrumpieron para preguntarnos si queríamos algo más porque cerraban cocina, ¡y la comida aún sin aparecer! ¿Cómo se les ocurre preguntarnos si queremos algo más,cuando ni siquiera han traído la comida?

Las mesas de al lado estaban igual de molestas. No era solo nuestra mesa. Los camareros iban de un lado a otro sin organización, nadie sabía nada, nadie se acercó a pedir disculpas, y el encargado brillaba por su ausencia, o si estaba no se acercó a ninguna mesa.

Solo decían “voy a reclamar”, “voy a reclamar”... y no pasaba nada. Ni una explicación, ni un "lo siento", nada. Una vergüenza.

Insisto: la comida bien, como siempre. Pero el servicio está fuera de control y no es la primera vez que pasa. Así no dan ganas de volver. 2 horas para comer por toca, porque los platos salían de uno en uno. Comer una sola persona mientras los demás miran no es...
