El capricho de Martín "Gastrobar Alicante" — Restaurant in Alicante

Dined here twice this month and had an excellent experience both times. The food was delicious - I love the Spanish dining culture of sharing multiple dishes. Alberto, who speaks perfect English, was an amazing host. He and his wonderful team did everything they could to make our experience a memorable one. I asked Alberto if he could organize a cake for my Mum's birthday and he went to the trouble of organizing TWO, so that I could have a choice. Will be heading back here on my next visit to Playa de San Juan! THANK YOU to Alberto, Martin and the rest...

Just dined at El Capricho this evening and it was amazing ! The restaurant looked great with outdoor dining available and a very cool bar/restaurant inside. Great atmosphere with very friendly staff and good service. Fantastic selection of drinks available and the food was outstanding. We had the octopus which was exquisite and medallion de mouse de oca ( like a goose pate) and clearly they are using the best ingredients available. Will definitely be returning and can...

Ayer fuimos con idea de cenar antes de entrar en el circo del sol, San Juan, Alicante. Rozando lo patético....

Un engaño de 10.

Pedimos un agua y una Heineken, nos ponen una tapa de verduras descongeladas sin pedirlo, y te lo cobran...

Unas patatas bravas, terroríficas.... Cocidas y freidora...

Pedimos un calamar brasa... MAS DURO QUE LAS PELOTAS CON LAS QUE JUEGA RAFA NADAL... Tremendo calamar... Duro no. Lo siguiente....

Lo sorprendente fué, cuando vemos a un camarero sacándose restos de comida de las muelas xon el dedo, si, se que es sorprendente pero así fue, y acto seguido, saca 2 platos de comida.... Un asco real.....

El remate, no comemos la tapa al llevar cebolla, pues somos alérgicos. Lo dejamos en la barra, y con todo el descaro, lo vuelven a hechar en el recipiente de esa tapa....

No salimos del asombro....

Pregunta un camarero que tal el calamar.....

Mi pareja le dice lo que suscribo y la mira con mala cara..... Pide la cuenta, y cobran pulpo en vez de calamar " de roca". Se le dice, no le parece bien la corrección y al final claudica cobrando lo que " habíamos pedido. Menos la tapa", que tambien la cobran....

UN VERDADERO ASCO PARA ESTAR CARA AL PÚBLICO.....

UNA PENA que por culpa del turismo, que todo les sabe tan bueno, los de la tierra paguemos por esto.....
